Večerní prohlídka jídla a piva v Phnom Penhu pro malou skupinu

It was unfortunately raining at the start of the evening of our tour. Sna (our wonderful photographer and social media wizard) at first couldn't locate our hotel in the pouring rain. Once we got that sorted out though, off we went to an amazing night of Cambodian delicacies! As it turned out, Sna wasn't actually our guide. That impressive figure was to be Sath, who had already met up with another tour participant, bringing us to a party of 5, including both Sna and Sath. Sath did a fantastic job of not just taking us to sample the best of the local fare, but also explaining what goes into each dish and how they're prepared. Since we were a small enough party, we got around on tuk-tuks, which was a whole different experience. The driver was very skilled at weaving in and out of traffic, passing other vehicles and pedestrians so closely I thought we were going to scrape our neighbours at times! Luckily for us, the rain eventually let up, allowing us to take a leisurely stroll along the Independence Monument park and outside the Royal Palace. It was such a joy and honour to chat with Sath and learn about another country so close to mine and yet so vastly different. In addition to snacks and meals to be had at small eateries frequented by the locals, we also had the glorious opportunity to sample and snack on deep fried bugs and frogs. Sath was very considerate in advising us against trying the water beetles since they required a bit more work to remove the hard wings and yet still would remain a tad harder to bit into. My favourite has got to be the silkworms. Crispy on the outside and soooooo soft and creamy inside! These bugs came in a bag from a street food store, and don't appear to cost a lot. At the last stop, Sath and Sna took us to a rooftop bar where we all gratefully accepted a pint each of ice cold Cambodian beer, a most welcome end to a warm and humid night amidst good food! Sath even ordered a plate of deep fried duck tongues for us to try. With that and the bag of bugs to snack on with an ice cold beer in one hand, we really could not ask for a better way to start our Phnom Penh trip! I really could not recommend Sath and Sna any more highly. They are friendly and knowledgeable. Almost as a bonus, they're natives of Siem Reap, so we got quite a number of tips and recommendations for when we eventually go visit that historic city! I know for sure that I will be on the lookout for tours organised by Siemreapers when I inevitably visit Cambodia again. If Sath and Sna are any indication, a tour experience with Siemreapers can only elevate anyone's experience of Cambodia! Thanks for such a lovely evening, Siemreapers!

This was one of my favorite food tours I have ever been on. It started with a tuk tuk ride from the hotel, turns out there is no limit on how far they will go to pick you up. We then met up with Kim, our guide, and another couple for a wonderful evening of food and cultural immersion. Not only is Kim knowledgeable about the food, the families that make it, and the way it is prepared. He is also knowledgeable about the country and makes this food tour a combo tour, food and history. And our driver was an expert navigator and companion. Highly recommend and would absolutely do it again.

Excellent tour, great value for money. Well and truly full from all the delicious food and drinks. Kim our tour guide was very knowledgeable regarding both the food we tried and the city of Phnom Penh and the history of both. Amazing range of dished to try and drinks included. Kim is an interesting & friendly guide, take me to try some local food that I never eaten before. Bug & Balut tastes better than I expected, if you’re interested in just try it, won’t be regret. Such a great experience in Phnom Penh！

If you have the time, GO ON THIS TOUR! The food we tried were something we wouldn’t know how to order if there was no one to guide us and they all taste delicious. We even got ice cream (Coconut, Taro, Jackfruit, etc.) but just forgot to take pictures of it. We went around on a tuktuk to different areas and different restaurants or food stalls. We didn’t try any of the insects and just took pictures 😅

I like to try food tours wherever I visit. So when I came to Phnom Penh it was no different. The guide was Tin Tin. He was well informed about the variety of local Cambodian cuisine that we would eat. I appreciate the effort of a guide who can explain and mix the local food and culture together into a presentation. The food tour had many stops and a variety of Cambodian foods to sample. Each dish was unique and sometimes challenging such as the insects we were given to sample (with a beer 😊). Our group was a good size at 11 people but everyone had a great time and shared a few beer at the end. Thanks for providing a wonderful evening Tin Tin.

Kim was an excellent guide, he was very kind and enthusiastic. He took us to local places with local foods that we wouldn't have found ourselves. This food tour around Phnom Penh is an amazing way to explore the local food culture! He even took us to the bug market near the Royal Palace where we could have tried some interesting bugs (but we didn't dare, and he didn't recommend due to risk of bad stomach). He took us to the night market and a bar in the end. Great beer! Highly recommended.

Nice, easy and fun way to get to taste all the special cuisine and beer in phnom penh. Our guide Sok was very informative and friendly and we had a lovely time. Got to taste delicious food and insects!

Had an amazing time despite the rain. The food was so tasty and really authentic. All the food cooked as we arrived, fresh and hot. Had the coolest guides, and tuktuk experience! Must try! Thanks to Sath and Snal for the best night. Also experienced beer bugs! (Frog, tarantula, duck tongue, silk worm, crickets) and the best ending of Cambodia draft beer! Ahh!

guide super friendly and helpful! make sure to do this tour on an empty stomach as it's lots of delicious food, and we ended the night with a couple of beers! (ps try the insects )
