Ka Atelier - Taller de pintura de teteres xineses | Wan Chai

Facilitator, Caroline, was patient, friendly and clear in her instructions. We were all beginners, thus worried and sceptical whether we could complete the workshop successfully. We did it with her guidance and left feeling accomplished and proud of ourselves! Kudos to Carole for being so wonderfully kind to us!

We had a great time at the workshop. The introduction was great. Carol explained and showed all of the process but also about the “culture” behind the Chinese painting and in our case about decorating the tea pot. With great care and patience she guided us to a result we were all proud of. It is a great workshop to colour your visit to a thriving and dynamic city as Hong Kong. In the middle of that dynamic you’ll find KA-Atelier in the trendy Star Street-area. It was “so Hong Kong” and yet a great break from the hectic life. It actually helped to tell and understand the Chinese culture! And all guided in a great atmosphere with tea, great classical music and an excellent teacher. And suitable for our youngest of 11 years

It’s a good but very brief introduction to Chinese painting combined with western styles. They’ll make sure you go home with a teapot that you like, decorated by yourself. When I was there, there were more people in the room working on different projects so I’d to share the instructors time and attention. No big deal though, I got the time I needed to finish the project. Great experience, and I do recommend it to friends, but don’t expect to get to know much about Chinese painting itself. You obviously need much more time for that.

The venue and instructor are marvellous- calming, esthetic and peaceful. The history of Chinese painting and methodology were provided in a clear and fascinating way. Stunning pieces also available on-site which for me as porcelain and ceramic collector were so interesting. The workshop was done beatifully with delicious tea and all required equipment ready.

It was so fun ! Great for beginners even There was enough guidance and also space for us to create our own version of teapots! Would definitely recommend it!

The atmosphere was good. The instructor was kind. It is a good enjoyment for those who like indoor activities and Chinese art. The teaching is step by step, so even if one has no drawing background, he or she can still complete a picture.
