Excursió d'un dia per la Vella Batavia de Jakarta

El senyor Sonny, el nostre guia, va ser puntual. Tenia molts coneixements i va mantenir una bona conversa sobre tot el que fa referència a Jakarta i Indonèsia. És molt amable. Recomano el senyor Sonny!

Our tour guide was Edward and driver was Theo. Edward explained a lot about the history of old Batavia. We stopped by a cathedral and a temple in Chinatown. We had lunch at the historical Batavia Cafe. It was delicious albeit a bit pricey. The puppet show was funny and entertaining. We enjoyed the maritime museum very much. There was so much we learned about the history. Overall it was a good day trip despite the rain.

Great historical tour. Learned a lot about Old Batavia and had a great time looking at the artifacts of the past. I was able to also see some similarities on our own cultural artifacts and get a better sense of appreciation towards how current Jakarta city was born.

Great to see all the old Dutch colonial buildings. Highlight was the National Monument, learned about Indonesia’s journey to independence. Tour was accommodating, changed one venue due to it being closed for a public holiday.

Enjoyable day tour, but maybe price is slightly on the high side. Guide picked us up from hotel in a comfortable van, brought us to all the destinations listed in the package. Guide was also knowledgeable and thoughtful of our likes and dislikes. Overall, good experience for us.

For first timers in Jakarta, the Old Batavia Day Tour is worth every penny. Itinerary was followed perfectly well. No other visitors joined us so it looked like a private tour. Hire a guide for better appreciation of Old Jakarta and its History.

Our guide/driver picked us on time. The guide was informative. Driver was smoking while on duty, the van was hot (poor ventilation). We enjoyed the puppet show.

Enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Dedi, was a cool dude! We learned a lot from him. Only place I would have skipped was the harbor tour. There was not much to see. Thank you!

Fitri hosted us for this private tour. She is knowledgeable who introduced the museums exhibits, and explained the local customs and history and even brought us to buy some local snacks in Chinatown . Highly recommended .
