Tour a peu de mig dia per a gurmets pels antics hutongs de Pequín

The hutong walking food tour was a great way not only to explore the hutongs themselves but to immerse yourself in Chinese culture. We learned about the different kinds of traditional foods all the way from sweet to savory as well as tons of trivia and what daily life is like there from our tour guide, Jim. Jim was an excellent tour guide, he was very informative, courteous, accommodating, and friendly. We would converse about various topics on Chinese life and culture, most specifically how it was in Beijing, and he would always offer help without us even asking. Our tour guide also had good story telling capabilities, as with every word he spoke about the history and way of living in the places we walked to, we would always be so intrigued and interested in whatever he had to say. After our tour, Jim even helped us on how to get around to find other interesting places to tour around, showing that he truly knew the lay of the land and the interesting parts of the entire city. Overall, we truly enjoyed the time we spent on the tour as well as the food we ate, it will truly be a memory that we will treasure.

We had a great time on this tour! Our guide was Jim, who was very polite, knowledgeable and attentive. We were also lucky enough to be the only people who booked the tour hence it was turned out to be private. We tried many different local foods which we would never would try otherwise if didn’t go on this tour. Overall, great experience!

Our guide Ruiya, is quite familiar to the beijing hutong around the area. A young and knowledgeable lady, her recommendation of traditional a beijing breakfast was interesting and slowly she brought us slowly through various hutong. We enjoy alot of other local breakfast treat which was awesome and savoury. We end our tour at the bear cafe, which is very unique whereby an old hutong with a contemporary modern cafe which make very interesting and savoury coffee. **The baristas there are all well train and have proper certification for coffee brewing. Must try..!!

the tour itself is pretty good but I do think it's a pretty big group for the price. makes it difficult for the tour guide to manage. do note the meet up instructions on klook is old and incorrect

Freya was our guide. She was friendly and thoughtful. She's also very knowledgeable about the origins of the food. The hutong we visited was so local and authentic, nothing like the dime a dozen touristy places we've been to. For those who want a crash course on food, this breakfast food tour is highly recommended! 👍

my guide is freya and she's great and genuine. the venue that they took us to for breakfast is somewhere that you wouldn't go to if u r on your own as the tour will take to through long windings hutong and stop at unassuming eateries that may not even have any shop name for food. howeve, the problem is that you really Have to commit to the date of your booking as the tour that is operating this doesnt allow room for flexibility. my husband was sick with fever and yet I couldn't reschedule the tour. the operating vendor (lostplate) told me that I can reschedule provided I pay 50% additional for each pax for the rescheduling. told them I will be more than happy to attend but how are they going to account to other ppl in the group who will be sharing food with us ? (btw, the food is always share amongst the ppl that join the tour e.g. 1 basketful of dumplings to share... or a bowl of soya bean milk to share).
