The Michelin Guided Street Food Walking Tour in Hanoi was a great experience! Our guide, Chris, was fantastic - his stories and trivia about Vietnamese culture and food really added so much flavor to the experience. We hit three different spots to try Bun Cha, but the real standout was the Phở Trộn at Phở Gà Nguyệt. It’s a "dry" noodle dish where you mix the chicken, fresh herbs, bean sprouts, fried onions, and peanuts yourself. You sip the savory soup on the side, which is such a unique and delicious way to eat Pho! I also tried Miến Lươn (eel glass noodles) for the first time. The eel is fried until crispy, and the broth -which Chris mentioned is simmered from eel bones for hours - is incredibly deep and savory. We finished the tour at a cafe where I had some avocado ice cream topped with dried coconut. It was the perfect sweet ending!
We had a fun and enriching time exploring the tastes of Hanoi with the help of our intelligent and friendly guide, Hai. All food stops were great and were also personally customized by our guide to ensure that we get the best of the best out of all the Michelin selected restaurants in the area!
This is an absolute must for everyone, when you are in Hanoi, Vietnam. My lovely Michelin Street-Based tour guide, Othecya, made this experience memorable. We went to 2x Pho places, one chicken and another beef, also went to an eel restaurant, which was mind blowingly delicious. Finally, we wrapped up with dessert which was a sticky rice ice cream with mango and pandan coconut, also very tasty.
Our guide Sarah was personable, whitty, confident and coordinated a fantastic evening! She warned us at the outset that she would not stop talking, and she didn’t! Every stop was interactive, filled with customs, questions, childhood anecdotes, traditional tales and instructions for assembling & gobbling up each dish. Arrival, food consumption & departure at each venue was seamless. I opted for the add on ‘train street’ stop, which I highly recommend for first timers (you can confidently go back by yourself again later). All up, this tour was great value for money, spanning 4+ hours and 5 stops… there is so much food; you’ll finish with a very full belly!
Upon arrival, this was the first tour I did with Rose, our guide and it was such an enjoyable experience that showcased top-notched Vietnamese cuisines. Rose was very thoughtful to tell us about the food and how they prepared it. I visited the pho restaurant twice coz it's really good. food:
My family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed this walking food tour! We took the 9am tour as we wanted to have noodles for brunch. Our guide, Jenny, (& co-guide Sean) were excellent - both in introducing each dish / drink that we tried, the Hanoian food culture as well as some history of these family run food stalls / cafe. We tried Deep fried eel mien, Pho Ga, Bun Cha and had egg cream coffee at Cafe Dinh, finishing off with a final round of drinks at Hanoi Train St. We highly recommend this tour for those who want to try the best noodles in Hanoi without the stress of figuring out where to go and how to cross those vehicle-laden streets in the Old Quarter!
Hai was a great guide! I enjoyed the experience with him as he was very knowledgeable of the food we ordered and gave me a bit of background and history of each. The food were all great and I did not have any regrets booking this tour. I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking to have a taste of the best food Hanoi can offer. Thank you Hai!
I booked the “Hanoi Michelin Food Tour” for myself, my buddy, and was joined along with a few other travelers and a tour guide named April, and it was honestly one of the best food related experiences of my trip! April was such a joy to be around, she was friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. She shared amazing stories about the dishes, restaurants we attended, and the history behind the dishes we ate. We visited a total of three Michelin rated spots and finished the tour at hidden gem of a coffee shop. If you’re a foodie visiting Hanoi, you have to do this tour with April, she’s the best!
we recommend Kira as tourguide. she brought us to michelin star food places. she even extends her service to tour us to shops and food stalls not included in our tour stops. Her youthful vibe brings out the best of Hanoi old quarter. food, coffee and vibes were 100%. the tour was worth the price.
I had a great time on this tour! My guide was Justin and he was super knowledgeable, friendly, and fun! We had a great time together exploring and eating truly delicious food. I would 100% recommend this tour to any other first time visitors to Hanoi.
