Modern Japanese aesthetics & spacious rooms. Loved the open kitchen & coffee tea set up in the lobby. Front desk was especially kind & helpful in addressing my bag forwarding needs.

Great bed, pillows, great roomy room and lovely staff.

I had a really enjoyable stay at Fairfield by Marriott Gifu Gujo. Concierge staff (Kawaii) was extremely helpful and took time to answer my questions regarding food and transport options to nearby sight-seeing spots. Even though there was a language barrier, she took effort with using a translation app and ensuring I got the help needed. The hotel is also really nice and clean! I especially like the common area with shared kitchen amenities. Just a heads up for those intending to stay here (especially those not driving). Hope this will help future travellers! 1. Please check the railway timing at Mino-Ota Station before arriving, as trains don't run frequently on the Nagaragawa Railway to Gujo-Yamato. During your stay if you want to visit nearby sight-seeing attractions, please also check the railway timing. 2. The hotel is actually just a straight road from Gujo-Yamato Station, not sure why Google Maps showed me a de-tour.

Like the location with the onsen and the gift shops. Also the hotel is new and clean and like the atmosphere of the lobby and the room The downside was noise control is not good at all, upper level guests footsteps were loud. Also house keeping doesn't change or clean the mug cups we used the night before and they took the room wear but did not leave a new one. With few fix i think this establishment could do much better.

If you like to walk there are many good places to eat nearby. The only draw back is that the town has only 2 taxis so it might be best to rent a car. Loved the restaurant Hachiya within walking distance. He only takes reservations.

Beautiful location surrounded by mountains rice fields, and greenery. Staff at Marriott were very friendly, patient and helpful. Terrible transportation access. Surprised to learn taxi service only available from 8:30 a.m. Didnt ] need at night so dont know about evening or night hours. oʻ,The hotel and the onsen, and shops should get together and provide shuttle bus service at least twice or 4x a day to go to the preservation district of Gujo Hachiman. Took the train once to het to Xj

Relatively new, very clean, hotel just outside of Gujo Hachiman. Design of the hotel lobby and rooms was very nice and up to date. The room was large. The hotel amenities were basic but sufficient; there was an adjacent roadside station with restaurants, convenience store, farmers market and an onsen making it a very convenient location.
