Tottori

It's definitely worth going; everyone should try it at least once, especially the sand dunes and Uradome Coast.

First of all, thank you to our tour leader, Hua Hua, and our bus driver for this wonderful trip to Tottori! The bus was comfortable, spacious, and air-conditioned, making the journey very pleasant. Hua Hua explained everything clearly in both English and Chinese, so everyone could follow along. We had a short restroom break on the way there and back. At the dunes, we had about 3 hours of free time. The scenery was breathtaking, but bring an umbrella because there is almost no shade! The museum was amazing, and since the theme changes every year, it’s always worth visiting. My favorite part was picking and eating fresh pears—they were delicious! The atmosphere was so friendly and relaxing. Hua Hua ended the trip with kind words and even sang for us. Thank you for making this an unforgettable experience. I hope your dreams come true!

Beatiful experience. Staff was very kind and with a good english. They also made us jump 4 times, which was very fun.

The hotel's location is convenient, and the rooms are clean and tidy (exactly as shown in the platform photos), making it a great value for the price. Downsides: The bed in the economy double room is a standard size, which makes it a bit difficult for two people to turn over without disturbing each other. Additionally, the soundproofing in the room is poor, so you can hear noises from the hallway or next door.

APA Hotel is always a safe bet. Here in Tottori, there are also connecting rooms available, but be careful not to book the wrong one as there are only two. However, the area around Tottori Station is a bit desolate, and at night, the only place to shop is the AEON (which is a smaller branch).

The staff speaks good English and has a wonderful attitude, especially the young woman at the front desk 🤣. The private rental bath is a bit small, barely squeezing in 2 people. The outdoor hot spring is also a bit lacking in warmth. The location is very convenient, close to the JR station and the shopping street, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance.
