10/10 experience! We booked this for a fun thing to do for my husbands 50th birthday. The team was so fun and helped us through every single step of the way. Our chopsticks turned out beautiful and we now have a valuable and usable souvenir! LOVED THIS! GREAT JOB TEAM!!!

Oh my God, this was literally one of the best experiences I have ever had. Rocky was fantastic; he was funny and super informational. He guided me through the whole process, and his team was just super fantastic. They gave me history, and we just had fun with it. It was worth every second.

we had a very fun time making the chopsticks. the instructors were so nice and helpfull . we had a great conversation while making the chopsticks. recomanded ifcyou are in the area, just stop by and join a workshop.

Hier kannst du dir mit der Herstellung deiner eigenen Essstäbchen eine tolle Erinnerung an deine Japanreise schaffen. Wir hatten ein wirklich cooles, etwa einstündigen Erlebnis von der Auswahl der Hölzer, über die Erklärung zur Herstellung bis hin zur finalen Fertigstellung unserer eigenen Essstäbchen. Währenddessen kommst du in den persönlichen Austausch mit den sehr herzlichen Mitarbeiter*innen die uns nebenbei Tipps für unsere Zeit in Kyoto gaben. Eine Laser- Gravur für 1000 Yen machten unsere Essstäbchen dann nochmals individueller. Wir können euch dieses Erlebnis nur wärmstens empfehlen . Es hat uns super viel Spaß bereitet & bleibt in Erinnerung !

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the class, my husband is a carpenter and he was amazed with the knowledge of wood selection the ladies had. My mother in law is hard of hearing and one of the ladies there patiently help her make her chopsticks. We also had fun doing this activity. We will definitely recommend this class to other friends and family that we know.

This was such a fun activity and you create a wonderful souvenir! The staff were kind and helpful and explained the different types of wood you can select as well as the entire chopstick making experience. There are 3 types of wood available in the base Klook price and you can upgrade for 2-6k yen. There is also an engraving option for 1k and they sell chopstick holders. I would definitely recommend this activity as I had a lot of fun and made a nice pair of chopsticks.

Der Stäbchen-Workshop in Kyoto Arashiyama war ein absolutes Highlight unserer Reise und eine rundum gelungene Erfahrung. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen, und die angenehme, entspannte Atmosphäre sorgte sofort dafür, dass man sich wohlfühlte. Die Anleitung war klar, geduldig und sehr verständlich. Besonders hervorzuheben ist unsere Anleiterin, die bei Fehlern unglaublich verständnisvoll war und jederzeit geholfen hat, wo sie konnte, damit wirklich jeder am Ende ein schönes Ergebnis erzielen konnte. Dadurch fühlte man sich nie unter Druck gesetzt, sondern stets motiviert und unterstützt. Es gab 10 verschiedene Stäbchensorten zur Auswahl, sodass für jeden Geschmack etwas Passendes dabei war, auch wenn einige Varianten mit einem kleinen Aufpreis verbunden waren. Die hochwertigen Materialien und die Möglichkeit, eigene individuelle Stäbchen zu gestalten, machten den Workshop zu einer kreativen und besonderen Erfahrung. Eine klare Empfehlung für alle Kyoto-Besucher.

Absolutely worth every penny! We had a wonderful host who guided us step-by-step through the whole process, taking about an hour in total. It was such a fun experience, and paying a little extra to have our names engraved made for the ultimate personalized souvenir. Highly recommend doing this if you’re in Kyoto!
