The room was clean and the staff were extremely lovely and helpful. I only stayed 1 night in a 4 bed dorm. I did not use the shower facilities so can not speak to that.

Very nice location, clean, comfortable room, great breakfast. I would happily stay here again, and would love to come back to Iceland!

I booked a double room but received a twin room. There's insufficient space to hang stuff. With basic blinds that are not blackout curtain, be prepared to get woken up at 5am by the sunlight. If not, by the noisy neighbours which the rooms don't seem to be noiseproof. Noticeable stench of urine in male washroom. The shower lacked place to hang towel. Fortunately there's a study table and chair in the shower room so at least I can put my stuff there. There's simply no hostel vibe unlike other hostels in town. The bar/reception area is ok, with plenty of seating and outlets. No issue with WiFi whether it's in the reception area or in bedroom. I do like their breakfast options with plenty to select, but it's very pricey (at 2700 ISK). And good luck about finding a free or paid parking spot nearby.

I have never stayed in a hostel before, but this was a great base located centrally in Reykjavik. Lots of great coffee shops, tattoo shops and bars/restaurants nearby. You can get breakfast and coffee at KEX, too, which was convenient for one of the mornings we had to head out early. The bus stops for excursions were also within a 10-minute walk away. Overall, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The hostel is good. I had the opportunity to stay in a room for 12 people and a room for 42. The room for 42 is not worth it. The shared showers without curtains are a big minus.

I really enjoyed my time at this Hostel! I recommend this location, and establishment for any solo travellers on a budget looking for a perfect place to stay — close to city centre, walks along the coast, and lots of historical sights around! The staff were very nice and attentive.

Stylish space, great amenities, the after checkout luggage storage was extremely useful!!
