Fantastic stay! The staff were incredibly helpful, the hotel spotless and the dinners in the restaurant were amazing!

Having stayed in several hotels in Japan, the beds are so so. This hotels beds are awesome!!! Thank you and it was a queen size bed!!!

Super clean, and quite with the bathroom separated.

The property is very unassuming from the exterior but it’s a lovely hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer to call taxis for you and will graciously assist with any other questions that you may have. The Cicon Bakery in the lobby is superb and is a welcome relief from the convenience store food that we were consuming at our last hotel. Everything is freshly baked and they had breakfast sandwiches, doughnuts, fresh fruit, drinks and more. The roof top bar is a great place to hang out at the end of the day with a beautiful view and fire pits. The water pressure in the shower is phenomenal and taking a shower was a highlight of each morning. The beds were very comfortable. The location was nice because it was close to many temples and shrines as well as pottery retailers and kimono rental stores. Now here are the negatives. There are not enough places to hang towels!!! That’s a pet peeve and I don’t understand how you can expect three people to hang towels on two tiny hooks. Please get install more places to hang towels! You certainly have enough wall space to do it. There is a shuttle to Kyoto Station but it only departs 4 times per day and they won’t take your luggage unless it’s super small. We never used it since it wasn’t available when we needed it. Kyoto Station is not close enough to walk to unless you want to get all sweaty. Other than those two things, it’s a great place to stay!! Would stay again!

Great place to stay. The room was big and comfortable. It’s easy to get around Kyoto from there and there is a restaurant and cafe onsite plus a cool rooftop bar.

Couldn’t have chosen a better hotel for our stay in Kyoto. The location was great-walking distance to everything. The rooms were super nice, spacious, & the shower was the best shower experience we’ve ever had (water pressure & large rainfall shower that soaks you). Lastly, the breakfast was fabulous and a nice way to start our day & the rooftop bar had great views, cocktails & snacks where we played cards. All around 10/10!

Clean hotel, maybe a tad noisy but that was only other guests and at no fault of the hotel. Best bread of any hotel I’ve ever been too!

We had a wonderful stay at NOHGA Hotel Kiyomizu Kyoto and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto. The location was excellent, within walking distance of many of Kyoto’s must-see attractions, making it easy to explore the city without constantly relying on transportation. Our group included multiple generations of family members, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel was comfortable, welcoming, and a great home base for sightseeing. One of our favorite features was the rooftop bar. It was the perfect place to relax at the end of the day while enjoying beautiful city views.

Perfect location. So easy to get to Gion and other sites. Modern and comfortable. The rooms are decently spacious and the shower with the rain shower head is amazing. Also, the restaurant and bakery on site is absolutely delicious. Easy to get food for a tiresome night.
