The team that work at the front desk were all so amazing, they really made our trip feel special. They were also so kind and helpful when I sprained my ankle to help direct me to a hospital and set up a taxi to get me there. They went absolutely above and beyond! The room was perfect for my family, the hotel was the quietest hotel for our entire trip. We would absolutely stay here again, and if we return to Japan we would definitely stay here or we would try another one of the Section L hotels.

Right from check-in, our stay was wonderful. The staff at check-in and throughout our stay were all very friendly and welcoming - always trying to become friends with our shy kids. The room itself was on the smaller side, but it had everything we needed and we were more than happy with it. The area is quiet, which was great for our family. A few minutes walk to the main strip and you have access to basically anything you need. A Family Mart right across the street is super convenient. The only thing it was lacking was closer access to a train station, but even still it wasn't really too far. Stayed at two hotels during our trip from two different chains and this one was definitely our preferred hotel, we'll be back again - hopefully soon!

Loved the location. Mostly everything was walking distance. Room was spacious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Section L Ueno! We got a “family suite,” which was two adjoining rooms. The space was perfect for our family of 4. It was great to have a separate room for the kids, since they go to bed earlier than the adults. We took advantage of the in-room kitchen and ate breakfast in our room each morning, which allowed us to get out and about more quickly. The in-room washer/dryer was so convenient. The staff were fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, and so kind. The location of the hotel was perfect: close to multiple train stations, walkable to Ueno Park, 7-11 and Family Mart right around the corner, but also very quiet. Overall, I highly recommend staying here!

Occupancy & Registration: Government-issued photo ID/passport is required at check-in. Under Japanese law, all guests—including infants—count toward total room capacity. Your reservation must match your exact group size prior to arrival; unregistered guests cannot be accommodated.

Payment Policy: Cashless property. Payments are accepted via credit cards only (cash is not accepted).

Housekeeping & Trash: Rooms are cleaned prior to check-in. Mid-stay cleaning is not provided automatically. Full trash bags can be disposed of anytime in the 1FL trash area. For stays of 21 nights or more, complimentary cleaning is provided every 7 nights.

House Rules: Onsite parties and events are strictly prohibited. Quiet hours are enforced daily from 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM.

Safety Features: Equipped with smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, a security system, first aid kits, and outdoor lighting.
