What to expect
Day 1: Depart from Cusco for Rainforest Lodge, stopping at Nincamarca, Paucartambo, and Tres Cruces viewpoint along the way. Day 2: Drive to Atalaya port, visit a local farm, then boat along the Madre de Dios river to Amazon Lodge. Day 3: Navigate the Manu river to Casa Matsiguenka Lodge, explore trails, visit Cocha Otorongo lake, and embark on a night tour. Day 4: Canoeing on Lake Cocha Salvador, followed by hiking, wildlife spotting, and dinner at Casa Matsiguenka. Day 5: Journey to Blanquillo Tambo Lodge, hike trails, and witness the Macaw Clay Lick phenomenon. Day 6: Experience the Macaw Clay Lick up close, followed by hiking to an observation tower and dinner at Blanquillo Tambo Lodge. Day 7: Travel by motorboat to Boca Colorado, cross the Inambari river, and return to Cusco
