Asakusa Kimono Rental Experience (Tokyo / Provided by Rental Kimono First)

They were the sweetest and I wear a 1x and they made accommodations for me. They dressed me and treated me like a queen. The stylist and sensi were so professional and highly skilled. The receptionist was lovely. I loved my hair stylist. She has a beautiful heart. It’s professional, safe, clean and good energy. I highly recommend them. They truly take care of you. I love them, I got so many compliments from everyone at the temple. Thank for making my birthday amazing.

This is a genuine review from a Korean customer! Don't go to the kimono rental place that pops up first on Klook; come here instead! I arrived at 12 PM on a Thursday, and they guided me through the process smoothly, explaining the designs and prices thoroughly. They also helped me combine obi and hair designs with high quality, and were very kind during the outfit change. The shop has a wide variety of outfit designs, and I liked that it wasn't crowded, with kimono selection on the second floor and hair and outfit changes on the fifth floor. Returns were also flexible until 6 PM. All the staff members were friendly and lovely. I'd love to come again! 🩷💓

The staffs are really accomodating, they really do their best to help in us choosing the best yukata for us. We almost run from our hotel to the store to get early and pick the best designs but they actually have a wide selection and all of them are really pretty. Thank you so much 💖

Renting a kimono at this shop was an absolutely wonderful experience! I was initially worried I wouldn't be able to get an appointment on short notice, but to my surprise, I did! I was able to smoothly try on the kimono I liked, and the efficiency was incredible! Plus, the overall price was very affordable and budget-friendly, offering excellent value for money (CP value). The staff were incredibly attentive and patient, providing thorough assistance from choosing the style and the dressing process to coordinating accessories. The biggest surprise was the hairstyle design; their skill was amazing, and the resulting look was so beautiful that all my friends and family complimented it! I will definitely visit again next time I come to Japan, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning to wear a kimono!

The location is very easy to find, right at Exit 8 of Asakusa Station. Walk out, turn right, and you'll pretty much be there when you see Starbucks. It's on the second floor. The staff's service attitude was excellent. They helped carry bags and didn't pressure us on prices. The environment was also very clean and bright. My daughter and I both really loved everything about this place.

Absolutely wonderful! All the ladies took great care of me and I loved every moment. From picking the yukata, getting dressed, hair and all the finishing touches with accessories. One of my favorite activities while in Tokyo. I highly recommend this rental agency! Everyone was so prorfessional, helpful and friendly. I will always remember this experience and smile. I felt beautiful and happy the entire day!

We had a wonderful experience here. They took us in earlier than our expected appointment. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They also helped select a few accessories to complete the outfit. They were patient and made us feel comfortable through the process. I definitely recommend to stop by and try them out for a wonderful Kimono experience.

bought a discounted price for kimono, which is the basic one. limited choices for women and all the prints are very striking & abstract. but it’s a good experience. the staff will help you to wear the kimono, if you’re shy you can wear an inner dress or inner top + inner pants otherwise you can just wear only underwear inside.
