Eligible Travelers

  • Only non-European residents can travel with a Eurail Pass
  • To be considered as a resident of a country, you have to stay in the country for more than 6 months and must provide a proof of residence or citizenship while on the train
  • Proof of citizenship can be established by a passport. Proof of residence can be established by government issued residency documents, e.g. visa, residence card
  • Your country of residence and passport number will be printed on the pass, so please make sure you fill in the accurate information upon checkout
  • If you have resided in country A for over 6 months, but are a passport-holder of country B, you can either fill in A as your country of residence at checkout and provide your passport and proof of residence while on the train, or fill in B as your country of residence at checkout and provide your passport while on the train
How To Use

Get Your Pass

  • We will process your booking and send out your parcel on the first business day after we receive your booking (not applicable on weekends and holidays)
  • Please note: Bookings made with the same delivery address may be shipped in one parcel
  • Check the table below for delivery coverage and average delivery lead time per region
  • Deliveries are not available during weekends and holidays. Please note that the timeline is for reference only, it is strongly recommended to book at least 7 business days before you intend to receive your parcel
  • In case you do not receive the parcel within the timeline, please contact us immediately

Reserve a Seat

  • Reservations are required on most high speed, international, scenic, and night trains. Local and regional trains do not require reservations
  • Reservations will incur additional fees, please check the table below for more information
  • You can check the timetable and/or make a reservation up to 3 months before departure by downloading the Klook app or via the Klook mobile website or you can reserve seats at any local train stations

Departure to Europe

  • You must show your physical pass and passport or proof of residence when the conductor comes around to check your ticket on the train. Never leave them at home!
  • Please activate your pass within 11 months from the date of issue. To activate your pass, present it with your passport to a railway official at the station of departure or at a Eurail Aid Office
  • Before boarding a train, fill in the travel calendar on the pass and the travel diary on the pass cover. You can find additional lines for the travel diary on the last page of the pass guide or you may print out the PDF version in case the original lines are used up. Please note that the Eurail Pass will be invalid if the travel diary is not filled
  • Night train rule: use up only 1 travel day when you travel overnight on trains. When making use of the rule, please enter only the departure date on the pass
  • Please note: Eurail Pass is valid for use with select participating railways, ferries and public transport companies. Check the table below for reference
