What to expect
Day 1: Our Choquequirao Trek starts at 5:00 AM in Cusco, with a 4-hour journey to Cachora. After organizing gear and enjoying breakfast upon arrival at 9:00 AM, we begin a 2-hour hike to Chiquisqa, followed by a descent to the campsite.
Day 2: After breakfast in Chiquisqa, we descend to the Apurimac River and then climb to Santa Rosa for lunch. Continuing to Maranpata, we reach the Choquequirao campsite, enjoying stunning views of the ruins.
Day 3: We explore Choquequirao before trekking back to Maranpata. After lunch, we descend to Playa Rosalinas for the night.
Day 4: We ascend to Chiquisqa, then climb to the Capuliyoc viewpoint for lunch. Continuing to Cachora, we conclude the trek and return to Cusco, cherishing memories of our adventure.
