Techniques & Secrets Behind the Famed Vietnamese Egg Coffee

I really enjoy participating in workshops when I come to Vietnam. It's a great way to learn more about Vietnamese food and how to make it. Making egg coffee with instructor Tom was easy, and the steps were clear. It's helpful to memorize the steps a little, as the numbers in the recipe PDF provided after the class are slightly different. The history of egg coffee was also explained clearly, making it a very insightful and relaxed activity. The whole thing takes about an hour, and you even get a certificate at the end – I know students really appreciate that. There are also promotional coffee bean sets available for students to buy, and you get a coffee discount coupon. I recommend ordering a different coffee after the workshop. I give this experience a very high rating.

It’s so much fun! Highly recommend everyone to experience it! I never forgot the egg coffee after I visited Hanoi before. During this experience, Truc kindly explained the history of Vietnamese coffee culture and the origin of egg coffee. With their recipes, everyone can easily make delicious egg coffee. What’s even more amazing is that at the end of the event, everyone got a certificate of completion! It’s so thoughtful! If I come to Ho Chi Minh again next time, I will definitely come back🫶

the place was on the second floor of a shop house along the street. you’ll be greeted by a nice and clean space upon arriving with friendly staff. Siu was our coffee guide who spoke very fluent English, very hospitable. I liked how clean and tidy everything was laid out on the table for us, with quality equipment we used for our egg coffee making experience. PowerPoint slides and video were used. cert and Polaroids photo were given. really appreciated the coffee making at lacaph w siu

Interesting session as we got to learn more about the history of the egg coffee and how to make it, as well as the way to appreciate the taste. Instructor was friendly and we also got a cute cert at the end of it. Good way to spend some time when visiting HCM!

I was surprised to find out I was the only one in the workshop (no minimum pax), and was glad to sign up for this workshop to learn more about the history of egg coffee and how to make it! My instructor Ngoc was patient to show me how to make the egg coffee and guided me through the steps. The egg coffee was nice! They even provided 40,000 VND voucher to offset your purchase at the bar, and provided Polaroid with certificate at the end of the class. Overall an enjoyable experience! Just didn’t like the part after the class when they seemed to want me to purchase something before leaving.

Joey and Hieu were amazing guides during our Egg Coffee experience! During our time together, they showed us how to make the perfect egg coffee, guided us during the process, and gave us the cutest certificate of completion with a polaroid of us and the coffee we had just made. During the experience, you’ll also get some delicious chocolate coated cashews and you will watch a short documentary about the origin of egg coffee. Highly recommended experience if you sre a coffee lover!

The instructor was very dedicated and responsible; it was a great experience. The egg coffee we made ourselves tasted pretty good. I highly recommend it to everyone.
