Ishigaki Island Starry Night Cruise (Okinawa)

Experience: The sea breeze was lovely and comfortable, but the light pollution was pretty bad. You'd have a better view of the stars up in the mountains 💫. We thought there would be a place to lie down and look at the stars, but everyone had to sit on the deck chairs, which made it tiring to keep looking up. The overall atmosphere felt more geared toward families, not as much of a romantic vibe for couples 💞.

The tour guides did not speak any English, but we managed and it was still a good time! They sang a few songs and showed us a bunch of constellations.

Stargazing at sea is an exciting activity, and listening to the shamisen being played in the dark, open ocean is also interesting and very pleasant. However, the stargazing experience was not ideal that night due to heavy cloud cover, and since the staff primarily spoke Japanese, I couldn't understand much of the content.

Weather is the biggest factor affecting stargazing quality. The staff are nice, but the language is basically 90% Japanese. This can be disappointing for those who don't understand Japanese. However, their service attitude is very satisfactory.
