Mount Batur Sunrise Jeep Tour with Coffee Stop at Paperhills

First, Ada was on time and very friendly. He picked us up to go to the Mount Batur meeting spot for the jeeps. There we met our drivers Tedy and Purba. Both of them were great and took awesome pictures of us on the mountain. One thing I will say because I have not seen it mention in other reviews is that it is COLD on the mountain that early so please bring a jacket or blanket. We didn’t have any but were able to rent a blanket for 50k IDR about $2-$3 USD. Once finished Ada took us to Paperhills Cafe and got beautiful pictures of the scenery while enjoying a meal. Then we took a short detour to the coffee plantation to try different coffees and teas with information about their benefits. We brought some tea to take home. Lastly we went to Tegallalang Rice Terrace. Ada gave us a tour around the terrace and took more pictures of me and my sisters. Overall great tour and would recommend!

We had an amazing Mount Batur sunrise and hot spring experience with JJ! From the very beginning, he was friendly, professional, and made the entire trip smooth and enjoyable. The jeep ride to Mount Batur was exciting, and the sunrise views were absolutely breathtaking. JJ guided us perfectly throughout the tour and also took some incredible photos for us, making the memories even more special. After the sunrise, the hot spring experience was the perfect way to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. His knowledge, patience, and warm nature truly made the trip unforgettable. We have a wonderful time with our guide , NGURAH. He is a good guide. He brought us to the volcano in the early morning. He has a good Jeep. After arriving the mountain, he found a good spot for us. The place NGURAH found had a good view. There is no others jeep blocking our view. Therefore we saw a good sunrise. He kept helping us taking photos whenever at the early 4am or 6am after the sunrises. He instructed us how to pose. We have taken many good pictures and have left good memories. Overall, NGURAH is a satisfactory guide during our trip. We enjoyed a lot.

He’s such a kind and chill guy — not only did he drive us safely for about 2 hours to Mount Batur, but he also brought us to try some local street food (so yummy) and even helped me find candles for my proposal setup! Truly above and beyond When we reached Mount Batur, we met Ngurah, our awesome jeep driver + photographer extraordinaire!He took us on an adventurous ride up the mountain and found the perfect sunrise spot. Then came the magic — he snapped hundreds of amazing photos that looked like they came straight from a Bali travel magazine! Every angle, every pose — perfection! Both Agam and Ngurah made the whole experience so smooth, fun, and memorable. If you’re visiting Bali and want the best sunrise adventure (plus some jaw-dropping photos), book this tour with them!

This experience was perfect. The weather was great, and we saw a beautiful sunrise. Our Jeep driver, Ngurah, was very friendly and enthusiastically took many beautiful photos for us. We were all very satisfied. We departed very early in the morning at 2:00 AM, and our driver, Edgar, was right on time at our hotel. After about a two-hour drive, we arrived at the Jeep sunrise viewing spot. However, it was very cold before sunrise, so remember to bring extra jackets or blankets. Otherwise, you will need to pay to rent a blanket. After seeing the sunrise, Ngurah thoughtfully took us to another spot to take breathtaking photos and videos, which we really appreciated. After the sunrise tour, we went to a popular Instagrammable cafe, where Edgar was also very helpful in taking photos for us. Afterward, we visited a place to taste and learn about coffee cultivation. Finally, we went to the famous rice terraces in Ubud and tried the must-do Bali swing. A big thank you to Edgar for accompanying us for 12 hours, from 2:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and getting us back to the hotel right on time, completing the one-day tour. I highly recommend this tour!

We had such an amazing experience on our trip to Mount Batur, thanks to our wonderful drivers, Ngurah and Saur. The jeep drive with Ngurah was unforgettable – he was so encouraging and constantly reminded us to take photos at the best spots. Not only did he take really beautiful photos of us, but he also made us feel completely at ease throughout the ride. His friendly nature and thoughtful choice of photo locations made the experience extra special. Saur was equally fantastic. He was punctual, attentive, and kept checking in to make sure we were comfortable during the long drive. He recommended we visit Asaka, and we’re so glad we did – the view there was absolutely magnificent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Despite the long journey to and from Mount Batur, we always felt safe and relaxed with his driving. We would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting Bali, and especially recommend having Saur and Ngurah as your guides. They truly went above and beyond to make our day memorable, and we’re confident they’ll give others just as great an experience.

An unexpected journey! Our driver, Adi, arrived right on time to pick us up early in the morning and start our sunrise tour! Our guide, Ngurah, drove us up the mountain in a stylish Jeep. He secured a great spot for us early and was very attentive and patient, helping us take photos. He knew all the best angles and poses, and had a great eye for aesthetics. He even used a DSLR camera to take photos for us. Ngurah then drove us to see the volcanic lava rocks, an absolutely stunning view. He continued to show off his amazing photography skills, taking his time to get the perfect shot without rushing us at all, and even helped us choose the best photos. He wasn't pushy at all, and was extremely patient. We both highly recommend this all-around guide, photographer, and driver. I almost forgot, he also shoots and edits videos, and will even create a reel! He fulfilled all our wishes. He drove the Jeep very smoothly, making us feel safe and secure. Afterwards, Adi took over and drove us to an Instagram-worthy cafe. Again, he was extremely punctual and patiently waited for us. We are both very satisfied with this trip.

The Jeep driver Metalica is very friendly and well-trained. He even explained some historical information to us. moreover, he is very skilled in taking photos for us. it creates a memory that last for a life time. The jeep itself was surprisingly fun to ride. never had the experience before, it was an eye opening experience

One of the most memorable activities of my trip to Bali was the Mount Batur jeep tour. The sunrise we witnessed at the summit after driving through the darkness was truly breathtaking. The thrill of riding a jeep across rough off-road terrain, coupled with the serene and dramatic scenery at the summit, made this tour exceptionally appealing. In particular, our driver and photographer, Ngurah, was so fantastic that he made this tour even more special. Ngurah drove very safely and handled the car with stability even on off-road sections, so I didn't feel anxious at all. He handled the vehicle smoothly on rough roads, and when we got out to move around, he would assist us first and take care of us meticulously, allowing us to enjoy the tour in comfort. Above all, his skills as a photographer were outstanding. He guided us to pose naturally so that our expressions in the photos looked very relaxed. He took a variety of photos, including wide landscape shots, silhouettes, and couple shots, and the results were all more satisfactory than expected. If you want a thrilling activity, a moving sunrise, and beautiful photos in Bali, I highly recommend this Mount Batur jeep tour.
