What to expect
This is one of our most colorful tours as you not only visit the famous Blue House but also admire the picturesque landscapes of Coyoacán, and the colors of Xochimilco.
Our first stop is Coyoacán, here, our guide gives you a brief explanation of the origins and importance of this quarter.
Next, you visit the museum of Frida Kahlo, where you learn about the intense relationship between Frida, her works, and her home, where she was born and also died.
The trip continues towards Xochimilco. Here, you get information on its origins, going back to pre-Hispanic times, and enjoy a ride on a trajinera, the traditional boat of the area.
Our last stop is Ciudad Universitaria Our guide explains to you the murals of Rectoría and the Central Library.

This is an amazing tour and absolutely worth doing. Our guide Rodrigo was the best tour guide we have had in years!! The experience was made 100% better by having him as our guide. He explained everything in Spanish and English - he is warm, friendly, patient and service orientated. The day is a great day out - we are from Australia (long way to travel) so suggest you pay attention when booking as the Frida Kahlo tickets are an add on and it is likely you need to book weeks in advance. We had a great day and it was the perfect balance of history, fun, food and sight seeing. As with anything in Mexico, be mindful the tour might not finish on time so don't book anything important that evening. We are so grateful we toured with Rodrigo and Oscar our amazing bus driver.
And incredibly well-planned tour that allowed us to cover so many things in a just under a day. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the university and its murals. Lunch was also very yummy and exclusive. Frida Kahlo entry was really easy with the skip the queue privilege. The boat ride was lovely and we managed to get 2 songs from the Mariachi but it was also we had some generous tour mates who didn't mind forking out the money. If you're on a budget, you can bring your own snacks and drinks onto the boat ride!
It is a nice tour if you enjoy seeing other sites and learning about new culture and history. Although i wasn’t able to go in the fridah kahlo as there were no more tickets available for that day. The area (coyoacan) is still a beautiful place! Definitely a must if you are planning to have a vacation in mexico city!
services is consistent & outstanding, Carlos and Antonio (driver) are respectful, and think ahead to ensure the well-being of the travelers. highly recommend.
Yair and Alan were our guides from Amigos Tour. We had a full bus but it was separate into Spanish and English group. The 1st stop was not very necessary at a gift shop but I understand they want to help with local vendors. We had fun at Xochimilco river boat ride. Our group all chip for the Mariachi for 2 songs. We stopped at UNAM and finally at Coyocan. The guides gave us tips on where to get local snacks and we got to try marquesitas for the 1st time. Frida Kahlo museum was our last stop and we got over an hour there. By the time we got back to the city it was close to 6:30pm due to traffic. Overall a nice day to see other parts of Mexico City.
the trip was honestly SO fun! Coyoacán and Xochimilco are the highlights of the trip. the only thing I wish could be better is to spend a bit longer time on the boat tour - it’s only about an hour. the tour guides Salvador & Mario are super helpful and they provided a lot of insights into Mexico culture and history during our bus rides. the last thing to note is that the traffic in CDMX is really bad, so the return time is quite late (we got back around 7:30 pm)
I went to Coyoyakan, Unam, Xochimilco, Frida Kahlo Museum, etc. with guides. Thanks to the detailed and friendly guides, I was able to enjoy it with a relaxed mind. Considering various factors such as security, transportation, etc., if you want to travel to the southern part of Mexico City, this tour would be a good option to consider👍🏼👍🏼
super fun and i will do this again once im back and i will recommend this to my followers like is this tagalog
It was nice to be able to comfortably visit places that are difficult to visit in one go. Good value for money and the guide is great!
one of the must do tours when visiting Mexico City. the ride in the trajinera is an axpeeince not to be missed. make sure your tour includes the Frieda Kahlo museum tickets. they are hard to get
Good to know
- IMPORTANT: Please note that the Casa Kahlo Museum is not the same as the Frida Kahlo Museum (La Casa Azul). The Casa Kahlo Museum is a new exhibition space, not the artist’s former home. By visiting this museum, you will have the opportunity to explore some of Frida Kahlo’s personal belongings, as well as previously unseen artworks related to her life and legacy. However, this tour does not include entry to the original Frida Kahlo Museum (Blue House).
