Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Fishing / Eobi or Gugok Ice Valley Day Tour

It was my second time participating in the Hwacheon Sancheoneo Festival and of course, I wasn’t left disappointed! This year, I topped up the trip with the Gugok Falls itinerary and it was a truly splendid trip. The view was extraordinary especially with the snow surrounding the area. Ms Hwa, our guide gave us clear introduction and instructions before each view points and recommended us to a really good Chuncheon Dakgalbi restaurant for lunch. She even checked in with us if we needed crampons so that we can walk easily on the ice during the festival. Overall, this tour was indeed worth the price and I will definitely recommend it to all whenever you visit South Korea in the winter! It’s a cool experience as the Sancheoneo Ice Festival usually only last for half a month (btw 11 Jan to 2 Feb typically) so seize this opportunity !

This was a family favourite on our holiday to South Korea. I'm so glad we were able to come during the period the ice festival is on. We had such a good time catching fish, snow sledding and seeing the sights. The ice sculptures were even more impressive in person. If you are travelling to South Korea during the winter season and are with family this is the tour you need to go on. Sheri was an amazing guide. I'll cherish our memories of this place.

It was unforgettable trip for me and my kids! we enjoyed all activities there especially the ice fishing. Our tour guide, Suki is very good, informative and guided the group very well. The trip was smooth and I have nothing to complaint about

awesome experience ice fishing! was expecting to leave the place without catching any fish but ended up catching 3! (the maximum number per person) the grilled fish was also really tasty. probsbly the most exciting acitvity in our seoul itinerary 🤩🤩

I enjoy this trip very much, I have spent wonderful time with my husband, we spent 2 hours+ for fishing 🎣, managed to caught 3 trouts each person. The grilled fish taste very good 😊. Thank you Sheri, out tour guide, she is very efficient and always reply our questions on time via WhatsApp. I strongly recommend this activity to all tourist as this is one of the awesome experience u hardly can meet.

overall, the guide (Suki) is just there to ensure we get our tickets, reach on time and leave on time. Nevertheless, Suki is kind to give a call to whoever that haven’t board the bus. The overall timeline was quite rushed. Reached the festival at 11am, started eating the grilled fish at 11.30, and remaining time till 3.30pm was free time at the festival, but just nice to experience tube sledding, Korean ice sled, and ice fishing. However, did not have time to eat and drink if you choose to do all the activities and if you need more time to catch a fish. I was obsessed with wanting to catch at least one fish, so I took 1.5h to catch one… 1h was then allocated for the ice sculpture exhibition, and it was just sufficient to snap some pictures, but definitely no time to queue for the slide which is a pity as there was a long queue. overall the festival was the best day I had in Korea!

The Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival is an event you wouldn’t want to miss! I really had such a fun time and great experience there with this Klook tour group. The tickets to the Ice festival will include 3 x ride on snow sled, 1 hour rental of ice sled, ice fishing x 3 fishes + food included 5000won gift coupon per pax and 1 grilled fish (all instructions and info were given by the guide, Suki on the way to the festival). Overall, the timings for the festival & ice sculpture visit were well paced and sufficient! The transport and meet up points were convenient and seamless! will definitely recommend this tour to my friends and family (:

The tour was amazing, our guide Chloe did a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting in Korea. The activities at the festival were so much fun, I can’t wait to go back again next year. This tour package allowed me free access to many attractions, I only had to pay 12 000 won for zip lining and received a 5000 won voucher in addition to the one included in the package. The vouchers can also be used to buy food items from some of the stalls. So they came in very handy. The ice illumination plaza was a great way to end off the tour. I’d never seen anything like it before. All in all, this experience was worth every cent.

This was an excellent package tour. Our guide, Jack, was very good. In my opinion this trip was value for money. There was a lot of traffic, so we arrived a little later then scheduled. I would definitely recommend this tour for ease, but we aware that due to time constraints it maybe impossible to do everything listed. Also, the itinerary states that you get 5 sled rides, but you only get 3 rides.
