What to expect
Take a bus from Nihonbashi, Osaka, to Gassho Village in Kyoto, known as Miyama in the town of Shirakawa, famed as one of the three major Manjusri. Enjoy the scenic views at your feet. Then head to Ine-cho, a quaint fishing village dubbed the Venice of Japan, where you can admire over 230 ancient boathouses built during the Edo period, a sight seldom seen on other Japanese coastlines

The tour itinerary is really good! Well planned and very punctual. Every location is very beautiful & definitely worth the long journey to reach each places. The guide share detailed information of each places we visited. My family enjoyed this tour!
It was an amazing experience! All the places were beautiful. While my time in Miyama Village felt too short, I completely understand. Thank you so much for this tour. Our tour leader, Kelly, was very friendly and spoke Chinese, which allowed me to re-learn some of it—please pardon my limited Chinese! She also spoke English, so communication was easy. Everything was perfect: the locations, the food, and the leader. Thank you for such an incredible experience!
This has been one of the best things I’ve done while staying in Osaka. the trip covers a lot of spots, that are hard to reach on your own. The time in each place is a bit tight, but you can still manage to enjoy your time at the locations. The guide was really nice, gave us a lot of recommendations and considered everyone eventho her Chinese was better than her English. Also the combined ticket for the boat ride and the cable car is absolutely worth it (it’s 1800 yen, collected on the. us). Overall I would recommend the trip for a rural escape!
Ms Kelly is a very kind & helpful person (lots of info sharing), control the schedule well. Mr Driver is very skillful, felt safe to sleep in the bus. The itinerary is well planned and it’s a very pleasant trip. Great deal & kudos to Kelly plus the driver!
We love the tour. Kelly the tour guide is very nice, accomodating and took good care of us. She is very knowledgeable and can speak diffetent languages and she even suggest good places to eat. She even went the extra mile to take pictures of us. We enjoyed the trip. Even though we are just 6 in the van the tour pushed through. Its a very nice experience. Definitely must try. Will go back and book again!
Kelly is a very caring guide! She shared many things to do in Osaka, not just the day trip. She also helped everyone take photos on the Ine Bay Cruise. Please take note that this day tour does not consist of lunch and the Ine Bay Cruise & Cable Car/ Cable Chair package. It is cheaper to buy the cruise, cable car/ chair together (it comes as one ticket with 3 spaces for them to stamp, which is cute) Please take note to wear pants to Amanohashidate so you can see the peninsular upside down for 1 year's worth of good luck! The recommendation to take the cable car up and the chair down was the best! Remember to buy fresh milk/ ice cream at Miyama.
The itinerary isn’t accurate - we did not spend the designated amount of time at each location. I was disappointed how we didn’t spend one hour sightseeing Ine (as the itinerary specified) because I was really looking forward to that. The boat ride’s barely an hour, more like 20 minutes. I’m giving this 5 stars because the Japanese tour guide is trilingual and did her job well. She could speak native Japanese, Mandarin and English.
Ms Kenny our tour guide is very accommodating. She tries to communicate with all of us in different languages. All places our beautiful. it was raining when we the tour. will come back when it’s cherry blossom season.
It’s easy to claim, just bring you mobile voucher, and show to the guide in the meet up place. The meet up place is easy to find and they also sent an email with pictures so that you can find it easily. The tour is good for solo travellers or for those that don’t want the hassle of shifting trains and buses as the places we visited were quite far.The bus is clear and spacious and equipped with a heater.
This trip from Osaka is very cost-effective, and the trip time is very sufficient. If you drive by yourself, it will take a whole day. You can only go to Amanohashidate and Ine by public transportation, and Miyama is difficult to reach! The price and CP value are very high, the car is big, luggage can be put in the trunk layer, the tour guide is very kind, and the meeting place is very convenient! Highly recommend everyone to take this trip! Miyama Gassho Village is quite small and can be visited in about half an hour. If you drive here by yourself and see only that, you may be disappointed 😅 but there is nothing wrong with joining the tour. Amanohashidate is very beautiful! It is recommended that you buy a package ticket for the cable car + Itami boat ride! You must buy fresh shrimp before taking the boat in Itami. Seagulls and eagles fly with the cruise ship. It is really interesting. The focus was on seeing the Edam Houseboat, but we were all watching seagulls and eagles 🤣 What a great experience!
