Reviews
Mr. Chuang's guided tour was incredibly informative. He explained the history, development, and unique architecture of Dadaocheng in great detail, giving my child and me a completely new understanding of the area. As people who love Taiwan's old houses and streets, we had visited this beautiful district on our own before. However, with Mr. Chuang leading the way this time, we were able to delve deeper into Dadaocheng's cultural heritage, architectural features, and stories of its past prosperity from a different perspective. The experience far exceeded our expectations. Although the tour lasted only a little over two hours, it was incredibly rewarding. Mr. Chuang is not only knowledgeable but also a captivating storyteller, making history come alive for both adults and children. The architecture and unique characteristics of each era were fascinating. The tour concluded perfectly at Dadaocheng Wharf with a beautiful sunset, leaving us with unforgettable memories of this trip. We are very grateful for Mr. Chuang's enthusiastic and professional guidance, which made us appreciate this land, full of stories and charm, even more.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and I was very satisfied with how the tour was organized. There were also souvenir shops that I had never been to that had great products. Highly recommend this walking tour. You get to see the unique architectures of old Taipei.
To 莊德銘 tour guide: It was great. I learned a lot about the local culture and food that only locals in Dadaocheng know. I really enjoyed today's tour. thank you!!
thank you Irene for showing us around and sharing all the historical information! we had a great afternoon to evening walk and caught the sunset from the wharf!
I really enjoyed learning about the history and recommended shops of Dihua Street in Taiwan. I signed up for a group tour this time, but it turned out to be private, and I was very satisfied with the one-on-one guidance from the guide. I especially remember going to the upper floor of Yongle Market, learning the secrets of the historical buildings of Dihua Street, and drinking local herbal tea. I also appreciated the commemorative photos taken at various places. Finally, I was happy to receive a cabbage strap from the National Palace Museum as a souvenir. If I ever come to Taiwan with friends, I would recommend this tour to them.
This is a journey full of retro sentiment. Without Mr. Chuang Te-Ming's tour guide, we wouldn't know that the district flower of Yongle Town is the camellia, wouldn't know that the architectural beauty of Dadaocheng has its family significance, wouldn't know the difference between "rich people" and "thick-browed people", wouldn't know the origin of the gods worshiped in the City God Temple and the lucky shoes, and wouldn't even know what the traditional layout of three-section and two-section courtyards is. Thank you to tour guide Chuang for his attentive explanation. A very, very worthwhile trip.
participants just 2 people, you have to be strong enough to walk, but the guide (Gary) is very good, he explain everyrhing clear and support you if you get tired. He knows manything : history, herbs etc. The tour end at Dadaocheng wharf, where you can spend time to see sunset and try food street.
Our guide, Irene, was incredibly professional and patient, with a wealth of knowledge. She led us on an in-depth tour of Taipei's historic Dadaocheng area. Although we unfortunately missed the sunset due to the weather, it was still a very worthwhile trip. Highly recommended!
It was a very pleasant trip. Teacher Chuang De-ming explained everything very well, allowing me to understand a lot about the past and present of Dihua Street. Next time I come to Taipei, I want to visit again and try the authentic food recommended by Teacher Chuang.
Thank you for recommending delicious food~~~ You explained it well and helped me a lot with purchasing things~~ I recommend going in the afternoon rather than the morning~~
