Hualien: Mambo Star Sand Dune Buggy: Sky Mirror Sand Dune Buggy Experience

This morning, we went early to experience the Sky Mirror ATV ride that we had booked. You can purchase packages on Klook, with options for one person per ATV, two people per ATV, or a coach-driven ATV. We opted for one person per ATV and chose Mambo Star ATV. There were three other groups in our session. Our coach was Hualien's G-Dragon! You might have seen the blonde guy leading the way and showing off in the video – that's Coach GD! He was super funny and even spoke a few Cantonese phrases when he found out we were from Hong Kong. Klook offers several ATV companies, but only Mambo Star provides train station pick-up and drop-off, which is a godsend for those without a car. It was perfect for us because the location is quite remote, and it would be hard to hail a taxi. I highly recommend Hualien Mambo Star ATV for anyone without a car.

The ATV ride was super fun and exciting! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire experience. We didn’t have to wait long, which was a big plus. After the ride, we were offered cold water and refreshing lemon juice — such a thoughtful touch! The shower facilities were also very clean and convenient. And let me tell you — the photography skills are incredible! Ohh, the pictures came out so beautiful! They really captured the adventure perfectly. I highly recommend trying the ATV if you're ever in Hualien — it’s an unforgettable experience!

The car company picks up from your hotel if you are staying near Xincheng Taroko Station and drops you off at the station. The staffs are all very attentive. It was a really fun activity. They even suggested poses for taking photos even though we spoke different languages. They also took good care of us when driving the ATV even though it was slow. I was impressed.

2024.12.12 made an appointment in the morning to play with another group of guests. We took photos first and then rode. Fortunately, the drizzly weather stopped after we started taking photos. The shooting method of Sky Mirror is actually to use a mirror, but the photos The photos turned out very futuristic, and the instructor patiently taught us various photo poses. There are clean showers and toilets on site, as well as a place to wash your feet. There is also free water. You can borrow slippers if you don’t bring them. They will help take pictures when riding the ATV and lead us to Mambo Beach to take pictures and play in the water. Mainly because the lower body will be muddy. The sand and water splashing up is a very special and interesting experience. When you go to Hualien, you might as well arrange a morning to experience it.

First time coming to Hualien and didn’t expect to have such a nice and interesting experience with Mambo ATV! Really unexpected! Feels like taking wedding photos and coaches are all very friendly! After the photos, it’s the exciting drive to the Mambo beach which is so scenic and beautiful! The first stop was to take sky mirror photos near their shop, which we were shocked at the location. As we thought, it would be at the beach (based on the gallery shown). Initially, we were reluctant to take the photos, and it was drizzling as well. However, the staff were very professional and took photos at an angle, which looked very different from how the location looked like (compare 2nd and 3rd photos). The staff also made many pose recommendations that were good, so they don't have to worry if you're not good at posing. Though the session of the photo taking was long as there were many groups of people, the staff did not cut short the ATV session (maybe because we had the last slot of the day as well). And the ATV was thrilling! It was a long distance around the beach, and we even had to drive onto a watered path. Overall, it is a fun experience and value for money because it is a price for two pax for an ATV.

Coach Yo-yo and coach Liangliang are both great! The ATV and photography skills are superb. Not only are they good at taking photos, but they are also good at guiding tourists to pose for photos. Just leave it to them! I will definitely help you take beautiful photos! Ice water, showers, toilets, and rest rooms are provided on site, and there is a parking lot next to it, which is very convenient! I didn’t expect that riding an ATV is as tiring as a Go car. My thumb that controls the accelerator is a bit sore. It must be because I don’t exercise regularly 😂 You must look for the Manbo Xingchen ATV when you come to Hualien!

This was my first time traveling alone, so I bought this trip out of curiosity and envy of the photos online. It was raining slightly in Hualien City in the early morning and I wanted to give up for a while, but luckily I arrived at the scene and found that I was the only one at this time. The whole team didn't let me move to the next time slot just because it didn't meet the cost, so it became a one-person martial arts world that rents out the venue and car. Thanks to coach Zijie’s patient guidance, I was originally afraid of taking pictures and was able to take photos similar to those of online beauty. It’s really amazing. ATV racing can also provide thrilling moments while taking safety into consideration. Thank you to the entire team for the overall service which is reassuring and heartwarming. It made my first solo trip such a special and wonderful experience.

The staff were very accommodating even if some had a hard time speaking to us in English. They also took very good videos and photos of us. Overall, it was a great experience!
