Jomblang Cave and Prambanan Temple Tour

The Tokyo T-shirt looked great on you! Nicko was very kind! I was surprised that the Japanese song called "Aishiteru" is popular! Bunen Panan and Jomblang Cave in Yogyakarta were very mysterious and deeply memorable places. The deeper I went into the cave, the more enveloped in silence I became, and I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the stalactites created by nature over a long period of time. The moment when the light shines on the rocks is magical, and it feels like you've wandered into another world. It was more of an experience of quietly facing the greatness of nature than sightseeing, and the afterglow didn't disappear even after visiting.

The day trip was very well curated! Our Mandarin guide was absolutely knowledgeble and fun too! Jomblang cave is a highlight! It consist of a decent approx 60m, walk a short distance in the cave to the heavanly rays at the end of it. A beautiful site that awes the experience. Prambanan temple is well guided that makes history and culture interesting!

This was awesome. We came to Yogyakarta because we wanted to visit Jomblang Cave. All of our friends and myself had amazing experience in this trip. All the team assist to us are very helpful and they did have proper safety SOP and follow strictly. We wanted to praised the whole team for the effort. It was an amazing experience, our group of 4 persons loved both the Jomblang cave and the Prambanan temple. At Jomblang cave the helmet is indeed very smelly and the boots may be a little bit wet (make sure to bring extra socks/clothes/shower cap), but the experience is definitely worth it, the cave is a miracle of nature, going down with the ropes felt safe even for those of us who were afraid of heights, the staff is very nice, our cave guide took some of the best pictures of us inside the cave, lunch box is good. The Prambanan temple is very beautiful and I warmly recommend to take a guide when you arrive there, our guide was very nice, funny, gave us a lot of information and showed us the best spots to take pictures; there is an official desk at the entrance where you can find a guide (it had cost us 150.000IDR for a group of 4 persons). Finally, using Klook is very easy and safe, with really good prices for what they offer. Our driver Sugiarto was the best. He was our driver for 3 days in a row, punctual every day, polite, kind, helpful, he took care of us throughout the whole experience in Yogyakarta and made us feel safe, recommended good places to eat, took photos of us. I truly recommend Klook app and Sugiarto!

Dana Muhammad is attentive and patient. He speaks fluent English and has rich cultural knowledge. The time arrangement is also very good. It is worth recommending this trip. I think it is the most worth experiencing in Yogyakarta. This kind of sky-high cave is very rare and the safety measures are very good. This specification is rare. Not to mention the unique buildings in Punan Banan, you must visit it

The tour guide is a local Indonesian, very nice, detailed and enthusiastic. The itinerary is very good, a pure play group, very enjoyable.

The driver assigned to me from Klook, Aryo, confirmed my tour by texting me the day before. He was punctual for the pick up and drove me to the Jomblang cave. Reading other people reviews i was well prepared. Do bring a pair of long socks, a shower cap and do wear shorts. If you want to shower later on, showers are available do bring spare clothings. It is highly recommended unless you want to get dirty. You can bring along your backpack but not too heavy. Do bring alone a torch light if you want to as the walk in the cave is dark. We had to wait for an hour before the cave tour starts. Good thing about the wait, I was able to dry out my wet boots which I just received and do not know how many people had worn it thus the socks. While waiting, drinks are served. When the tour started, we were given queue numbers and had to wait for our numbers to be repelled down in pairs, manually by the staffs. The drop was about 60m, it takes about 30 seconds. If you are worried about safety, each pair is attached to 2 different lines, one from the front and the other at the back, it is quite safe (from my perspective). Once reached down at the cave, we have to wait for our group to gather to proceed further down about 250m into the cave. The 250m walk is no joke, it is slippery, muddy and can be steep at times. So do not rush and take your time. I choose to be the last in line so nobody is rushing me, I can watch my step by following the people in front of me and can you take all the photos you want later. Once you reach opening, it is simply one of the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. So being last in line has it perks, I took all the photos that I wanted. The guide staffs are also there can assist you with taking pictures and tell you the best spots if they are not engaged. After that, you just have to make your way back where you came from and up back the cave. The staffs will mannually reel up the cave. There we were given one of the bento box for lunch. Thereafter, we set off to the Prambanan temple. It is about 2hours drive. There the driver will hand you over to a guide which will show you around and tell you the history of the temple. Take your time to take pictures, when we were done. We made our way out. Along the way there is a pair of swings which I highly recommend you guys to do it. They will pull you up a few meters above ground and take your pictures with the temple in the background. It is stunning. Each person is 20k rupiah, unlimited shots using your own camera. Highly recommend the tour.

The adventure of Jomblang Cave is a rare experience in life. There is no need to hang the cave by yourself. The workers pull the gear and rope to let us fall. Some photographers helped us take the hanging photo, and finally sold us two big photos of Rp50000, the price is reasonable. It ’s a long way to go to see Heaven Light. It ’s muddy and very creepy along the road. You can wear gloves to rock at any time. Remember to wear headlights. We encountered an aggressive snake midway Fortunately, the staff splashed it with a stick. At the destination, it turned out that there was no light from Jesus for a long time. The driver told us that it was only about 11 o'clock. After completing the journey, hands and feet are mud, there are places to punch and change shirts. The lunch was a simple Indonesian lunch box. We took the food and set off to Prambanan. The road to the left of the cave was bumpy, and it was good to go to the road. Prambanan is nothing special, just full of Hindu temples and collapsed Hindu temples, there is no loss if you don't go! The cave adventure helmet is smelly, remember to wear a shower cap every time!

Jomblang Cave gave me great sensitivity. You should definitely see the thrilling experience of roped down a large vertical cave with a height of 60m, the dynamic and mysterious underground river beyond it, and the beautiful sunlight shining into it. However, it takes 1.5 hours one way for 30 to 40 people to rope through the vertical holes. Also, the rented helmet is very sweaty. Prambanan has less time to see.
