Reviews summaryDefinitely a much more laid-back day trip that you can do while staying in Hanoi. Cruising past the limestone mountains while enjoying lunch or a drink was such a relaxing experience. The separate boat ride through the limestone formations and caves was especially peaceful - perfect if you’re looking to unwind and reconnect with nature. We also visited a dry cave filled with fascinating rock formations. It was only a short walk, making it easy for most people to enjoy. I do remember that the scheduled departure time wasn’t followed, though. That said, Mr. Milano, our guide that day, was helpful throughout the trip. The only thing I think could be improved is the food served during lunch.
The experience was truly the best experience in my life. The trip was very good. The food on the ship is very good. And of course, the service, the systematic and organized tour from Dragonfly Tour. This tour is very excellent and it is a great experience. Great food, great environment, and great service. I highly recommend the tour.
Halong Bay is a must see tourist spot in Vietnam. We went on a cruise with lunch included. The lunch was great and the tour was worth it. The tour guide and driver are very approachable. He helped us in taking good photos.
HALONG BAY TOUR Our Halong Bay tour? ABSOLUTELY BLEW OUR MINDS 🚢 We’ll be honest – we were a little skeptical after reading mixed things online… but wow, were we wrong! Our tour bus had only 10 people, and the cruise ship just 15 – it felt like we’d booked a private, exclusive experience! Our tour guide, named Du, speaks English well and is helpful and polite. The bus ride was smooth. There were a few stops at places like a pearl farm and a marble shop with a coffee bar to promote local businesses – this is completely understandable. Halong Bay is spectacular, though the water is a bit murky and may not be suitable for swimming. The Ba Hang Floating Fishing Village was a great experience. And then there was Thien Cung Cave – a total game changer! It’s super accessible and very tourist-friendly. 10/10 would recommend to anyone planning a Vietnam trip! Book through Klook and pay all upfront – it’s worth every penny.
The day trip from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay was fabulous. We were picked up from our hotel in Old Quarter at about 8.20am (indicated pickup location during booking). The journey was 3 hrs one way with 1-2 stops for toilet breaks / food. There was a short visit (20mins) to one of the pearl factories nearing cruise station. Boarded the cruise at about 12noon and were seated according to our group. Lunch was then served shortly. No sharing with others. After which we went on the boat ride, visited 3 caves. The last activities was to the main cave by foot, it was magnificent inside the caves. We rode the cruise and returned to the cruise station by 4pm. The return journey took about 3 hours back to Old Quarter and we were dropped off close to our hotel. Overall, the trip was worthwhile and recommended!
staff was responsive in whatsapp. tour guide was really polite and hospitable. everything was well planned. food was alaso great. the guide also ensured asks everyone for any allergies. the bus ride was comfortable. there’s enough stop/rest.
I went to Halong Bay on 22/6/25, guided by Mr. Milano, who is an English speaker. Hotel pickup is available if the hotel you staying at is located in Hanoi's Old Quarter. The tour guide will contact you for pickup at the hotel. If not, just call the office number found on Google to clarify. It took almost a 4-hour bus ride from Hanoi to Tuan Chau International Marina with rest stops in between. The bus is clean and comfortable. Had lunch at the ‘restaurant’ on the cruise. Vegetarian options are available; you just need to indicate that during Klook booking. The food served is a bit plain for me, but I am still able to enhance the flavor with the sauce provided. The tour went well. The tour guide pointed out those famous rocks, like the Fighting Cock Islet and Incense Burner, along the way. My favorite part is being on a bamboo boat, as I am able to enjoy the scenery up close. You can opt to kayak if you are adventurous. Have great sightseeing in Thien Chung Cave.
It was another good trip. There was a pick-up and drop-off service, a large bus. Each person was given a bottle of drinking water. There were 2 rest stops to use the restroom. On the way back, if you don't want to return to the hotel, you can inform them of the place to get off (only where the bus passes). The guide provided good service and care. There was food on the boat, a set meal, about 8 dishes, excluding drinks.
really great value for money because the hotel pickup was good, lunch was more than we expected and tasty, saw great sights, kayaking and caves, and stopovers during the 3 hr one way bus trip. worth it. didnt even expect a quick trip to a pearl farm
Food was underwhelming, but everything else amazing. Very energetic tour guide, the view was like nothing else (pictures attached) and kayaking was super fun as they allowed solo kayaking (only for non busy days). Would do this again.
