An Unforgettable Ski Experience | Sapporo Mt. Moiwa Ski Resort Day Tour On a chilly morning, we gathered at the hotel, where the driver kindly came into the lobby to confirm if we were part of the ski day tour. Once confirmed, we boarded the bus and began our journey. The 40-minute ride was a visual treat, with stunning winter landscapes unfolding outside the window—it felt like a prelude to a magical adventure. Upon arrival at the ski resort, a friendly and cheerful staff member warmly guided us to change into our ski gear and outfits. With everything set, it was time to start learning! We began with the basics—how to glide forward and come to a stop. It was a bit challenging and physically demanding, but undeniably fun! The snow, though not very thick, was soft and powdery, which made falling completely painless—perfect for beginners like me. Our instructor, Coach Tora, was incredibly dedicated and patient. He provided one-on-one guidance for every participant, tirelessly running up and down the slope to ensure everyone was on the right track. A huge shoutout to Tora for his hard work! Once we mastered the basics, we got to ride the chairlift to a higher slope—a thrilling and memorable moment. Just a little tip: be extra careful when getting off the lift! This ski experience was both exciting and rewarding, leaving me with so many wonderful memories. Here are a few tips for anyone planning to try this: If you're going to be actively skiing, wear quick-dry clothing under your gear. Skiing can make you sweat, and quick-dry fabrics will keep you comfortable. If you need a break, head to the nearby canteen for a warm cup of hot chocolate and enjoy the breathtaking snowy views—it’s a delightful way to relax. A big thank you to Coach Tora and the team for making this such an incredible experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to try skiing for the first time!
Skiing was tougher than I expected! The one-hour lesson helped a lot, but it wasn’t quite enough for a first-timer. Still, had an amazing time—so much fun! ⛷️
The bus is on time. Ski teacher has good English so we can learn and practice basic of ski during morning part. Unfortunately, skiing is need a lot of energy, we feel hot and have sweat during practice. I recommend to try.
Had a great day on this tour! My friend and I had never been skiing but the class was very informative and comfortable. The 5-hr package is perfect for beginner skiers! We had a lovely day and recommend this tour!
Waiting for pick-up at Susukino Tokyu REI Hotel at 9:00 that morning. The car will arrive at 9:05. Check that the name is correct and drive off. Arrive at the North Slope of the Snow Mountain and change your ski equipment at the activity center. The snowsuit, pants, and boots already adapted to your size are in a plastic box with your name on it. True to size. There were 6 people in our group who were skiing for the first time. There are 3 coaches and assistants in total. It is equivalent to one coach to 2 students. Communicated in English throughout the process. The guided practice is very patient and professional. The care was very attentive and attentive. The process was painless and enjoyable. Worth recommending.
Easy to find departure location. The ski gears and clothes were well prepared when we arrived the ski park. Ski coach was able to explain the basics. Recommended tour for ski beginners and kids.
For those who don't know whether they like skiing or not 🎿, the one-day itinerary is just right, with a simple explanation course (but there were too many people in the whole group today 😂 the coach said that there are usually only 5 or 6 people, but there were 20 people on 2/20). The skiing time is enough. After all, it is very physically demanding, but it is still fun!
the bus will be there at exactly 10-15 minutes before the departure so don’t worry. we were scared too at first but the mini bus was there on time 😆when we get there it was really pretty. our instructor mr. nori and another lady was there to guide and all a-z is handled by them. definitely recommend this to begginers and intermediate. even if you’re and advance skier, you would also enjoy the terrain as some of the slope are quite steep.
Very organized—our gears and equipments were ready in storage boxes with our names, so one less thing to worry about before skiing. After changing into our ski outfits, we had 1 hour lesson to teach us the basics, then we’re on our own right after. Not really for beginners given the short time for lesson and the big group (we were around 15 people). If you’re a beginner and just want a bit of skiing experience (like us), I highly recommend this tour, but if you want to get serious skiing, I would recommend to have private lessons instead.
Just a 30min drive away from Sapporo city makes this day tour very time-efficient while not compromising on the quality the experience. Teacher was professional and patient. Ski area is perfect for beginners.
