What to expect
Explore some of Siem Reap's temples that lie off the beaten tourist path on this one-day tour that takes you to five different temples! Choose between a join in or private tour depending on what suits your preferences. Start your tour off with a stop at Pre Rup, whose brick and laterite materials are emphasized by the light of the morning sun. This is followed by a visit to the Banteay Srei Temple, or the "Citadel of Women", believed to have been made by a woman as the carvings are thought to be too elaborate for the hand of men. Take a break and reenergize yourself with a meal at a local restaurant, where you can savor traditional Cambodian curries, soups and stir-fries at your own expense. See finely-carved sculptures at the East Mebon Temple, with a variety of structures such as stone elephants and lions, and Ta Som Temple, with four faces of Avalokiteshvara on the well-preserved towers. The tour ends with a stroll around Preah Khan Temple, filled with vaulted corridors, fine carvings and delicate stonework, right before you head back to your hotel.

Reviews
It was a join-in tour, but since there weren't many people, my mom and I enjoyed it privately. Our guide, Mr. Chenda, always greeted us with a smile and took photos for us with great enthusiasm. His explanations were very interesting and fun. We felt like Mr. Chenda was enjoying the journey with us, which made the entire tour pleasant. I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Chenda for guiding the tour with such passion.
I booked the Banteay Srei Backcountry tour via klook which was operated by siem reap shuttle tours. We visited a variety of temples through out the surrounding area of Angkor Wat over the course of the day. The guide had impressive knowledge of all the temples visited and was able to clearly explain the importance and function of each temple including the buildings were only stone and rubble lay from the jungle swallowing the once splendid architecture. The guide was happy to help with all photography needs through out the tour and helped to take some truly remarkable photos. Visiting some of these smaller less known temples off the beat and path gives you an amazing understanding of the history and culture and people of this truly amazing country. The only thing better would be going back in time and seeing the majestic beauty and grandeur of this area in all its splendid glory.
This was my 2nd and last temple tour, the day after Angkor Temples Tour and I was lucky enough to get Lok again as my guide. Again, he was very attentive and really took his time sharing historical facts and information about the itinerary. Loved the photos he took here. Definitely enjoyed my time and could not ask for a better tour guide.
It was definitely a pleasant journey and our guide Mr Tola took very good care of us. Indeed it is very hot for May in Angkor Wat so if you have a super experienced guide like Mr Tola knows how to manage time arrangement to best fit tour participants, with deep knowledge and good story telling, then you will have a wonderful day !
Despite the heat it was a fantastic experience to see the other temples which are all very unique and our tour guide Ry was a very good storyteller and told us many stories about the carvings which helped make the experience even more memorable and educational we really really enjoyed the trip and highly recommend this to anyone visiting Siem Reap. I would recommend that you bring a towel, hat and sunscreen as it gets very hot and humid.
Great excursion! Picked up on time, car was comfortable. The guide, unfortunately, did not remember his name, speaks excellent English, talks a lot and interestingly about both the history of Cambodia and modern times. I recommend.
Ra our tour guide was so knowledgeable and charming throughout the whole trip. gained lots of insider ideas about life in cambodia as well as learning about the 6 different temples. although a long day it didn’t feel like it one bit as we were well looked after
I participated because I wanted to go to Banteay Srei. I'm glad I went. This may be my favorite ruin in Angkor. It was that good. We visited six other ruins in total, and our guide, Pip, took photos and gave us good explanations. On the bus, we had fun talking about the lives of Cambodian people, making it a very interesting day. I was satisfied with the food at the restaurant, which included Khmer dishes and sandwiches. If you are interested in Banteay Srei, please join this tour.
Tour Guide, touch was very informative and approachable whenever we had questions to ask. The temples was phenomenal with great in-depth of Khmer mythology. Only critique is the tour guide could have time managed better as the tour ended and hour later. Therefore, I had to reschedule my other plans after the tour at a last minute.
Toir was nicely organised. Informative and enjoyable. Guide Mr. Kim and driver Mr. Yang were too much helpful and cooperative. Cold water and towels were provided when needed. I recommend travelers to enjoy this tour with Siem Reap shuttle tours.
