This walking tour takes you to the beautiful Montmartre, a more rustic and charming area in Paris. After meeting your guide, you'll take the funicular up to their beautiful village. Full of art and artists, it's a wonder to behold, and you'll first head to the Place du Terte. This public square is full of activity, with small shops lining the streets around it, with painters, portraitists and caricaturists who would happily do a sketch of you. The Basilica of the Sacre Coeur watches over all in the village's highest point, and is a great point of reference if you want to get to anywhere. A walk over the cobbled pavement takes you to Calvary Square, or Place du Calvaire, full of history, and Vignes de Montmartre, a lush vineyard right in the heart of the village. You will then make the walk to the Moulin de la Galette , one of two famous windmills in the area. This one has stood since the 17th century, and was owned by a family famous for its galette bread. You will the see the Cafe des 2 Moulins with bar within it, and it's a popular watering hole in the area. You'll mark the end of your tour near the exterior world famous Moulin Rouge cabaret.
