Ferry Ticket between Wellington and Picton by Bluebridge

We chose a hotel near the pier and quite close to the city center in order to take this cruise. The cruise staff was very good and provided us with a lot of convenience, from exchanging paper tickets to checking luggage to having a shuttle bus from the Picton Pier to the Picton train station after disembarking from the cruise, which was very convenient. We saw many interesting fish in the sea throughout the trip. The food on board was also good. My companion bought lunch and said it was delicious and more cost-effective than restaurants in the city. This was a pleasant ferry experience across the Marlborough Sounds.

The boat ride was comfortable, with occasional bumps. There was free water and other meals on board at your own expense, and the seats were comfortable. When we get off the boat at Pickton, there will be a shuttle bus to take us to pick up our luggage, and then we will take the same bus to the interbus, train station, and information center. There is no additional charge for the shuttle bus.

Everything is awesome. I had a great 3ish-hour trip with good food and awesome environment.

Easy process to change our date and time after road closures stranded us from getting to Picton. Customer service was very helpful. the ferry ride was smooth, we were able to add a cabin to our booking before boarding for a smoother experience. Cabin had an ensuite bathroom so we could freshen up which was a plus. Cabin and ensuite were comfortable and clean. Boarded with a vehicle and the process was long but organized. Highly recommend booking this ferry.

We booked a ferry ticket for ourselves and a rental car from Wellington to Picton. The voucher turned up within minutes with a great saving on the company's advertised priced. Quoted the booking no. before waiting to board with our car. The journey itself went fast and it was a great crossing to the South Island.

The ferry was in time, we took the one at 2:00 am and I think is the best because there are a lot of spots to relax and sleep. and when we arrived we when to sleep in a free camping really close to Picton and we saw a beautiful sunrise there.
