Penang Balik Pulau Countryside Cycling Tour

Such a great trip. A must do activity. Eddie was one of the best guides we have had. Perfect timing. Learnt lots. Scenery great. Stops spaced well and lots of variety. Only negative was didn't get a confirmation the night before but did get an email early morning of. Would highly recommend this day trip.

chill day biking around the countryside with a knowledgeable guide, Eddie! As the other reviews said the bikes were a bit old (the brake wasn’t too sensitive) but the paths weren’t too difficult/harsh for it, plus the seat was comfortable enough for the journey. I learnt a lot about what fuels the Malaysian/Penang economy from this tour visiting various plantations, farms and villages. only complaint is that there was no confirmation email about the exact pickup time beyond what’s listed in this activity page, so it was a bit daunting to be looking out the lobby constantly checking for a tour bus. (it is a white mini van seating around 15 ppl)

we had a great time cycling around the countryside and visiting the planned stops, especially the giant dairy farm. If anything, I wish the tour lasted longer.

thank you for this experience! our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. the bikes were easy to use and helped us explore more than we would have been able to on foot. we really enjoyed visiting a local village and learning about the reality of life here. i would highly recommend this. we had a lot of fun :)

A very nice,easy (flat) ride in the countryside with a very convenient pick up and drop off from my hotel. The guide shares lots of interesting information about Malaysian culture produce and animals. Lots of nice photo opportunities too in nature too.

Loved doing this tour and seeing the other parts of Penang via bicycle. Was happy that there were different bikes to choose from. The tour guide was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Thanks to the great weather, cycling on the Christmas Day was super nice! The tour guide stopped at several places to explain about country side in Penang, so although it was about 2 and half hours ride, I could enjoy riding from beginning to end! Additionally, talking with other participants was very fun! Some were locals and others were from abroad. The people I met in this cycling were so nice and I never forget these wonderful experiences there.

What a fun experience! Everything was really terrific. Great to see a part of the island that we probably wouldn't have gone to otherwise. Guide was knowledgable and funny. As reported, the bikes were a little worn, but totally fine - not difficult to ride and get around at all. Highly recommend!!

This is an experience not to be missed for cycling enthusiasts and rural explorers! The guide is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and considerate, taking good care of every member of the group. Along the way, we visited the traditional villages, farms and orchards in Balik Pulau, Penang, and the guide shared in-depth information about Penang's history and diverse culture. Although the weather was hot, the cool breeze was refreshing while riding. It is recommended to wait outside the hotel for pick-up at the specified time of the itinerary without further notice in advance. Highly recommend this relaxing and fun trip.

I’ve joined this activity and it’s really worth it. the guider explains everything very well and takes care of the bicycle and if we need also any other help, his very helpful. we have visited few places and it was really beautiful experience. highly recommended.
