Timba-Timba, Mataking and Pom Pom Island Discover Scuba Diving in Semporna

It was 2/4/2025 which is 3rd day Hari Raya. We are enjoyed with the superb and excellent guides by Instructors. Tq Max, Jamie, Cikgu, Zul, Suhaimi and Ni Hau🤭Tq for your support towards me..an aunty who afraid of the water. 1st attempt was failed BUT 2nd diving..i managed to do it and take a family picture. Rezeki for us to see the group of dolphins. Tq again from us Fatin Uden Aunty Zila n Uncle Jam. Unforgetable memories for our family. Highly recommended!!❤️

It was my first time to experience scuba diving. Thanks to the instructor Max Yeung for his careful and clear instructions. Another staff member in the water assisted with photography. We spent 10 minutes each at Timba Timba and Mataking Island. The whole process was safe and reliable. The pier was covered with dark clouds when we set out, but fortunately the weather gradually cleared up as we got closer to the island, and the scenery along the way was beautiful. Taking photos on Timba Timba Island, the blue sky, small island, sunshine and clear sea water are very beautiful and healing. Please remember to apply more sunscreen! On the return trip, we docked at Dragon Inn Pier and Jeti Pelacong Pier respectively, which was very convenient.

Highly recommended! All staffs are skillful, helpful and friendly. They will give a clear instructions and explaination for Discover Scuba Diving. Water is crystal clear with beautiful corals and fishes. I don't know swim and the staff always make sure you're in good condition when in the sea. We missed the turtle at Timba-Timba but the staff willing to bring us snorkel and find turtle for us at Pom-Pom, glad that we managed to see turtle in the end.

The main team leader speaks fluent Chinese, pays attention to the physical condition of each participant, provides caring guidance and relieves everyone's nervousness. Underwater photography is available on site for an additional fee. The diving instructor John gave us a lot of advice and shared his experience in the water. He gave us a lot of guidance and helped us see many aquatic creatures.

Worth the money! Can improve on the boarding part.. pls prepare form in english and seatings. Excellent coach in giving instructions and patience. My scared fam members also managed to dive in the end. Beginner Friendly!

I participated in deep diving today, and the leader and diving instructor, Mr. Yang, was very professional and friendly. He took care of the 15 of us who had zero experience with deep diving and constantly encouraged us, allowing us to see the beautiful underwater world of Semporna. Thank you! Instructor: Mr. Yang

The morning departure wasn't very punctual. We waited quite a while before boarding the boat. The captain frequently performed stunts, and honestly, the constant speeding wasn't a pleasant experience. If any tourists were prone to seasickness, they would have thrown up. Each island visit required an additional fee, and even the restrooms on the islands charged extra. Lunch was a pre-packaged box lunch provided on the island, and it was not very tasty. However, the diving experience was quite good, with beautiful underwater scenery. There was another snorkeling session in the afternoon, and it's important to apply sunscreen. The instructors were quite responsible. Underwater photography cost an additional 50 MYR per person, and the quality of the photos was questionable. Be prepared for constant photography throughout the dive, leaving little time to actually observe the fish. Overall, it was still a very worthwhile trip to experience.

We were a little impatient at first because we were delayed by an hour in the morning, but when it came time to dive, our coaches Jon and Jamie and our Chinese guide MAX were very patient when they took us diving. They were always concerned about our physical condition and encouraged us even if we were afraid to go into the water. Newbies should try it. When diving, just remember the three tips taught by the coach and you will have a smooth dive. Although the weather was bad this time with strong winds and heavy rain, the coaches and guides made us have a great time. It is a trip worth joining 👍👍👍

I didn't have enough time to visit all the islands, but Semporna is so beautiful that I definitely need to come back next time!

It was a wonderful experience and we had a such a great time. For people who don't speak the local language, Jon and Max should be your go to people. They are really great guides and will help you understand everything smoothly and calmy. Other crew members were really sweet and friendly! would surely recommend people to go ahead with this package. worth every penny ;)
