What To Expect

Badaling is the most popular section of the Great Wall of China, largely due to to its accessibility - it is close to Beijing and is easily reached with public transportation. Other added features such as smaller stairs, handrails and cable cars make it a great option for all visitors! The cable cars bring you to North Tower Eight, the highest point in the area and a perfect spot for photos: it is the best area on the wall to watch the sunrise or sunset and to observe how expansive the wall is as it snakes around the mountains. This trip is a treat for anyone, but the history buffs will get a real thrill out of this tour! Going to Badaling lets you relive the lengthy history of the Great Wall: you will see and explore the watchtowers that were used to communicate and store supplies, as well as observe the tiny holes drilled into the wall that were used to spy on enemies and to shoot arrows through. Walking on the wall gives you a real feel of the battles that it witnessed, particularly how it was reinforced during the Ming Dynasty to prevent the Mongols from entering Beijing. This section of the wall is also conveniently located near the Great Wall Museum, where you can learn even more about the site. A journey to Badaling gives you an unrivaled experience of the Great Wall and is a must try for any traveler, especially for first timers to China!

It was awesome! Got no problem at all with my voucher. I just presented it at the window and the lady gave 2 tickets, for the cable car and for the great wall entry pass. I just had a little problem looking for the entrance of the cable car since it’s located at the other side of the mountain, ummm literally. LOL. Wessshhhh. Other than that, I will recommend this activity to all ✌🏼👍🏻

in terms of using the voucher it is easy, but finding the counter for the cable car is really hard, because no one knows where the cable car is. I presented the voucher to the counter but they dont know about it, and ask for the cable car and they said they dont know, they just know only about the sliding car. The good thing here is there is a address written in chinese so they understand but again the counter for the cable car is a bit far like you need ro walk for about 30-45mins. When I her to the counter they also didnt understand me and not accepting my voucher until they see the instruction to the voucher written in chinese. At the end I just found out that the price here is the same as what I need to oay if I buy my ticket there.

Went there only to find out that the Cable Car was closed due to the strong winds. Was advised to get a refund.

Please make sure that you redeem your voucher at the Cable Carticket office for. When I get there, the lady at the ticket booth refused my voucher. Then I asked another lady and she handed me the tickets without saying anything. Since I came on winter, I need this cable car ride.

The ticketing officers in the Cable Car have the worst customer service orientation. I know they can't speak English but they won't find a way to explain to you what's going on. It turned out they won't be accepting bookings from Klook so we have to pay for our tickets again.

No doubt that Klook is very convenient especially for foreigners in China like me. Since the struggle is the language barrier, I never understood what the person in Counter 1 told me. After my walk and climb at The Wall, I was surprised that the only issued ticket to the cable car was only one-way. I did not argue back then because in the first place, I could not understand them. No one is knowledgeable in the English language. So I just walk down the passageway, anyway. On the other hand, this is such a great exprerience to see one of the wonders of the world.

It takes at least ten minutes from the subway to get to the 877 and still has to cross the road. However, many buses do not need to wait in line for a long time. The bus seat was very small and uncomfortable. The journey took at least 1.5 hours. It took us 3 hours to reach the traffic jam. The waitress in the car simply explained the scenic spots of the Great Wall for us, and then used a clever way to suggest that everyone sit on the north fourth floor of the slide. Although I did not follow his advice, I could understand him very much because the slide was really Simple, the charge is similar to the ropeway but it is easy to maintain. I bought tickets and one-way cable tickets at klook. I didn't have to wait in line to buy the tickets. I spent 25 minutes walking with two children to the back of the ropeway. I went north to the eighth floor and went down to the fourth floor. Downhill, everyone is tired but very happy. Klook is a good helper for travel. This was a five-day trip to Beijing. I booked several trips and I was happy and satisfied! !

My family and I took the No. 1 bus from the tourist bus to the Qianmen C exit and headed for Qianmen Pedestrian Street. There is no need to buy tickets first (you can also buy tickets at the counters). Remember that you only have to go to the main street before the fare is 20 The road is a bus stop. People are constantly on the bus when they can directly buy tickets. But the real staff will have to wear a uniform to travel and get off the bus. There is no need to walk next to the cable car station.
