Reviews
It was a lot of fun being able to cycle around and have various experiences such as traditional tofu making and bean cracker making! The places we visited by bicycle had many fantastic views such as rice paddies, houses, and ruins, and the guide answered everything with a smile. The transportation from the hotel to the village was comfortable, and it was nice to be able to chat happily. We added Prambanan and sunset to the tour, so we were able to change the start to the afternoon, and on the way back, we were able to stop at an authentic batik shop. It was a great tour company. Thank you!
During my recent visit to Yogyakarta, I had the pleasure of booking a cycling trip in Jatirejo Village, operated by Alga Lovo Tour. It turned out to be an incredibly meaningful and educational experience. Cycling through the village surrounded by beautiful paddy fields, the trip provided an authentic glimpse into local life. The group had the opportunity to witness the processes of making crackers and tofu and even visited a stingless bee farm. Each stop was thoughtfully curated, offering a deeper appreciation of the village's traditions and sustainable practices. Although it rained during the trip, the spirits of the participants remained high, making it all the more memorable. A highlight of the trip was the hands-on batik class by Bu Titik, supported by a local guide, Salwa. I thoroughly enjoyed the session, thanks to their patience. Interacting with Salwa throughout the process allowed me to gain deeper insights into the local way of life. Her warmth and knowledge added a personal and heartfelt touch to the experience. What makes this trip even more special is how it directly benefits the local village. By organizing activities like this, Alga Lovo Tour supports the local economy and empowers the community, making the experience not only enjoyable but also meaningful. It’s a great way for travelers to contribute positively while enjoying their journey. I strongly recommend including this cycling trip in your Yogyakarta itinerary. It offers a unique way to connect with the local culture and truly completes your visit to this beautiful city. Kudos to Alga Lovo Tour for organizing such an excellent and impactful experience!
