Enjoy a warm cup of coffee at the Maekhajan Hot Springs
See the spectacularly intricate Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple
Opt for a boat ride along the Mekong River to the Laotian island of Don Sao
Pick up some mementos at the border market between Thailand and Myanmar
Stop by the villages of the Akh and Yao Hill Tribes
Hop on a whirlwind journey around landmark Chiang Mai and even make a stop at the Golden Triangle, known as the meeting point of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. This extensive tour of the northern Thai province begins with a stop at the Mae Khajan Hot Springs and the nearby Wat Rong Khun. Also known as the White Temple, Wat Rong Khun is known best for its incredible white structure, intricate in detail and eerie in thematic references. You'll then be whisked away to the cross point of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. The opportunity to sail down the Mekong River awaits, toward the Laotian island of Don Sao. From there, head to Mae Sai, the border down near Myanmar where you'll get to enjoy a mini market shopping spree. Then head back to the city center of Chiang Mai, but not before making a stop at the villages of Akha and Yao Hill Tribes, and getting to know a thing or two about their day-to-day lives and cultural practices.

The trip is worth to go. But want to comment on tour guide. We know the travel time from chiang rai to chiang mai will be 4 hours (from appro 6pm to 10 pm). He did not remind us buying a light meal before that, while he only arranged a stop after 2.5 hours from the journey. Not suitable for most elders.
very nice and tiring whole day tour. recommended to get with both the boat ride with long neck village to avoid disappointment :)
The tour guide Annie was very fun and a highlight in the trip. The total drive from Chiang Mai to Golden Triangle is around 4h, so be prepared and put on comfy clothes as you'll spend most of your time on the road. The White Temple was stunning and we wish we could stay there longer to see more. The Long Neck Village was quite pretty but it is overtly touristy. The Golden Triangle boat cruise was pretty interesting. However there was nothing much to see on the Laos island other than cheap Thai and Chinese products. All in all, it is a nice trip for those who do not have time to travel to Chiang Rai but want to see the major touristy spots there.
We enjoyed the tour itinerary. Getting to see and visit Laos, and to taste the secret exotic recipe of whisky for "free". However, it's too rush. Tour guide wasn't what I expected to be. Not as bubbly and talkative, very brief introduction of place, unlike another group tour, introduce much more about Chiang Mai. Lunch is too late, at 2.30pm, with few selection(buffet style). Journey back from chiangrai took 4 hours. Left Chiang Mai at 8.30am as there's total 11pax to pick up.
once again, very please with the service of the tour. tour guide was on time when picking us up from our hostel. brief summary of the landmark was given before reaching, clear and detailed instructions was given before letting us roam around the place. tour guide name was ah hong. 👍🏼
