What to expect
We spend about half of our time exploring the Tenma and Kyobashi neighborhoods, walking around and sharing unique stories and insights that make these areas so special. The other half is all about the food! Our Osaka food tour offers you a chance to feel like a local as we dive deep into two of the city’s most dynamic and delicious neighborhoods. Over the three carefully-chosen restaurants we visit, you’ll have the chance to try around fifteen different foods. Most of our guests have not tried or even seen half of them. But that doesn’t mean our Osaka night tour foists scary slimy things on you for the entertainment of it all, because we don’t. But we also don’t pander to that unfamiliarity by trotting out karaage (boneless fried chicken) and the like.

Reviews
Jamie was great and informative! The walking was a bit more vigorous and longer than we expected and it was a bit of a challenge to keep up given our physical conditions, but the food experiences were great, diverse, representative of local traditional foods and unusual.
The food was amazing! Definitely recommend this tour! it was a small group of us (3 plus the guide Ferdinand) we went to small local places we never would have went to and tried food we never have had but loved! we are more adventurous eaters, so we had jellyfish which we really enjoyed! The rest of the food was amazing and the locals were friendly! we opted for the wagyu and that was so tender and flavor! Ferdinand taught us so much and took us on a fun tour of the parts of town we probably never would have went to without him and even gave us advice on shopping and other things to do around Osaka!
Brian took us on an extraordinary journey of drinks and food. If you're coming from another country and want to discover those hidden corners that you wouldn't dare to visit alone, this is the tour for you. Thank you so much Brian.
We had a great time with Ferdinand on this tour! The food was incredible and the walking part of the tour was informative and entertaining. We would never have found the spots we stopped at on our own. Highly recommend!
Ferdinand was amazing! he taught us more than just a good tour by providing little insights into the daily life and nuances of Osaka. highly recommend especially if you’re a foodie whom is not too confident with the Japanese language. will try items you never thought you would try. just come in with an open mind :)
TOTALLY. WORTH IT. It can be very intimidating navigating a menu in an unfamiliar language and seeing a bunch of unfamiliar food, all while trying to figure out how much food you're actually getting and what the correct etiquette is - this tour removes all of that for you. Bryan was extremely awesome leading our group. He created a fun atmosphere for everyone to laugh and get to know each other while being sensitive to various dietary profiles. Everything we ate was so good!! Easily a major highlight of our trip.
We had a good meal of wagu beef, sea food and an amzing piza. We walk in the area was very informative and enjoyed. It was all well worth the cost.
our guide Oisin was superb and gave us some interesting facts about Osaka. the food was amazing! Oisin was entertaining and informative. we wish him well.
Ferdinand's stories really were the cherry on top of this wonderful tour. The food was, as promised, far more interesting than the basic food you can get yourself from any market stall. We tried many things we'd never had before, some we'd never heard of, and absolutely everything was delicious. The walk wasn't strenuous, which we appreciated after many long days of walking already behind us on our trip. Ferdinand delivered tales about Jaoese life in the area and pointed out things we'd never have spotted on our own, beyond just stories about the food, and we enjoyed every minute. Our group was small (only 7 people) which made conversation and sharing the food comfortable and manageable. 100% recommend.
this food tour was a little bit different from the other food tours, this tour introduce you to some of the popular local foods that are not known amongst tourists. with that being said the food was great and was the tour. I highly recommend it.
