White Water Rafting on the Kaituna River

the rapids were rapid but the guides were very detailed and reassuring in their instructions during the brief. wasn't cold too because they provided layers and booties. really have to just bring along swimwear to wear inside and a towel to dry off after.

what a thrilling adventure! second time doing this activity and the 7 metre waterfall drop was as exciting as ever.

this was a really fun experience for my wife and I. Not too strenuous and it will give you lots of memories to talk about in the future. Highly recommended!

It was exciting and worth recalling. It was a little scary at first, but the tour guide was very professional and made people feel reassured. I will definitely go there again next time I have the chance.

Had a blast with Josh! He kept us safe and made the trip hilarious. He staged a 'romantic' kiss under the waterfall, but we just swallowed water while he laughed at us. Unforgettable honeymoon memory!

The difficulty is relatively high; being able to swim comfortably in water with currents for about 10 meters is more suitable. The activity is very exciting, and the instructors provide complete instructions. The water pressure is strong when plunging down the waterfall, and water got into my ears for several days. If you have trouble regulating ear pressure, it's recommended to bring earplugs. You can wear glasses, but you need a glasses strap; they also sell them on-site. You can buy photos on-site for NZ$50 per boat, which is a great deal if you have a large group. However, they didn't take a photo of our boat when it plunged down the highest waterfall... If you intend to buy photos, it's best to let the instructor know, and they will intentionally put you in the front for certain parts to get more shots.

our guide Malcom made us feel safe and welcomed. we have a few first timers and the entire journey was manageable.

Awesome. Fun fun fun. Will do it again. No dull moments, 3 drops, very fun, very exciting, guides are good. The photos are so-so only.
