What to expect
Discover the real Bintan with this tour to Senggarang Water Village, a floating settlement built upon the sea. Your trip will begin with a transfer from your accommodation to the busy port of Tanjung Pinang, passing by scenes of local life in Bintan. At Tanjung Pinang, you’ll board a water taxi to Senggarang Village, one of the oldest Chinese settlements in Bintan. This village hosts two of the oldest temples on the island, one dedicated to the seafaring ancestors of the local Chinese community and the other to an ancient banyan tree located near the community. Back at Tanjung Pinang, you'll enjoy an Indonesian set lunch at a restaurant and have a chance to browse through the local markets for some fresh fruit and dried seafood. Relax with an optional massage at a local spa before heading back.

Reviews
our guide (Mr Richard) arrived early. for this full day tour we visited temples and the main attraction: the floating village. it was a very interesting experience into local life. the lunch is provided - very nice fancy cafe in tanjung pinang, food was nice but had to wait. picture for reference so you know what is served - come hungry, there is appetiser, main course and dessert. the guide spoke mainly Chinese with a mix of English, it was a very chill kind of trip. note it's more of a he drops you off and you ownself walk around, but you can ask him any qns you have. along the way (an hour or so ride), he also shared with us some interesting stuff. the last few stops of the traditional market and shopping mall is alright, mainly for ppl who want to shop. prices are cheaper here than the resort so do grab your snacks here. he also advised us to buy dinner and offered to drop us off at a local food place to buy some food, but it was too early / we were so full after lunch so he just dropped us at a convenience store. overall his service was good and I would recommend for ppl seeking something more unique and learning more about the culture and local life.
Guide Mr Herry was very friendly and entertaining and shared lots of local insights. The drive was quite long and sadly the local markets were closed due to CNY, if not the tour would have been even more interesting.
Senggarang is a village in Bintan. The Binyan tree temple is actually very small. Tour to places of interest is ok. Food is ok also. Our driver Taquif friendly and helpful. We enjoy our trip very much.
Lovely tour guide who tells us a lot about Bintan. Also very accommodating to our needs. The lunch included in the picture is very nice too.
Cool tour! It was nice to get out of the resort and see parts of Bintan. Keep a look out for wild monkeys! Lunch was very good.
The guide is fluent in both English and Chinese, and was very descriptive in explaining the history and sights.
Experience was good, the guide was very patient and introduce us to the history of the places we visited. It just that the weather is very hot only.
Friendly driver and great lunch in Tanjung Pinang, was good except for the rain that was out of anyone’s control!
We didn't know that the lunch was a sharing menu and we indicated that one pax was veg and the other was not. When we reached the restaurant, it was a huge communication game between the staff, guide, office and us as the office booked veg lunch for us two to share. The breakdown of the menu was not shared and the office and staff could not communicate properly what the issue was. We eventually found out that the kitchen prepared the veg sharing menu for two and the most they could do about the communication breakdown was to include a meat main course after a very long discussion. We were left sitting there hungry for a very long time. If it was stated in the itinerary during booking or if the lunch was not included, that would be a lot easier for groups with different dietary restrictions. Hope the team does something about this.
The guide we have is patience and is able to explain very well. The lunch is also delicious and nice. Good massage too, but we top up to get a longer session.
