Reviews summaryThe ferry from Singapore to Batam Island, Indonesia, takes only one hour. Upon arrival, it's very convenient to apply for an Indonesian visa on arrival. There's no assigned seating on the ferry, so you can choose any spot you like. The air conditioning is quite cool, and you can check in luggage 🧳. I highly recommend it to everyone.
I traveled in Emerald Class this time, which includes access to an exclusive waiting area with snacks and coffee. Luggage assistance is provided, and the ferry company staff can help with visa applications. You also get a complimentary beverage upon boarding. If it's your first time visiting Bintan Island and you're not familiar with the process, I highly recommend Emerald Class for its convenience.

fussfree experience. just need to head to counter at ferry terminal 90 minutes before travel time to collect physical tickets for boarding 30 minutes before travel time. ferry ride took about 50 minutes or so and Bintan is a very beautiful place with 22 resorts and many great beaches!
You need to arrive at the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore one hour before departure time. Upon arrival, simply present your passport to redeem your ferry ticket; it's very convenient, and you don't need to provide a Klook voucher code. The ferry arrives at BBT Ferry Terminal in Bintan Island one hour later. The return trip is the same; you only need your passport to redeem your ticket.
Our ride was smooth. Very accessible and easy to locate. The ferry is also quite big and comfortable.
Smooth and well-organized ferry experience. Boarding was easy and on time, and the ride was comfortable. Overall very convenient for traveling between Singapore and Bintan!
Super fast and convenient. Just exchange your passport for a boarding pass on-site. Food and drinks are available for purchase on board.
The ferry was bigger and cleaner than I expected, and the seats were comfortable. It departed about 10 minutes late and the ferry shook a lot, but I took motion sickness medicine so I didn't get seasick. The ferry was at 2 PM from Singapore, but it arrived in Bintan with a 10-minute delay, so it was about 2:20 PM. My luggage also came out safely, and the staff were friendly. I exchanged SGD to Rupiah at the money exchange in the terminal.
Fuss free redemption at the ferry counter. Boarding was on time and orderly, and friendly and helpful staff on board. Ferry was clean and well maintained.
