I took the Gastronomic Lunch option and enjoyed the meal. There are many beautiful sights in Avila and Segovia. Do take note that there is quite a bit of walking during the tour. If you want a good view of the Aqueduct of Segovia, you will also need to climb the stairs.

What To Expect

Embark on a journey through Spain’s rich historical past on this full day guided day tour to the vibrant cities of Avila and Segovia. Known as ‘The City of Saints and Stones’, you’ll begin your tour in Avila, a city where Romans, Moors and Christians all made their mark so you’ll see a unique mix of architectural styles. Upon walking through the winding narrow streets that once attracted thousands of pilgrims, you’ll see vestiges of the past as you head towards the Convent and Museum of St. Teresa de Jesus. After visiting the cathedral and Basilica San Vincente you’ll then make your way to Segovia. With its looming turrets and towering sandstone defensive walls you’ll feel like you’ve stumbled into a fairytale. Here, you'll visit the magnificent Alcazar castle from whose summit provides truly exceptional views and afterwards explore the impressive 1st century AD Roman Aqueduct, the city’s most recognisable symbol, as your friendly guide explains its fascinating history and construction. At the end of your tour, you'll board a comfortable, air-conditioned coach and return to Madrid.

It is good. The travel agency is easy to find and the shuttle bus is nice.

Very nice tourist experience with simple lunch !
  • Fan 12 Mar 2018
It was difficult trying to understand the guide as she struggles to toggle between Spanish & English. The tour was very rushed as well, only given 15-20mins at each location. Overall, the tour is overpriced for a 4hrs tour (although it states 9-6pm, we spent 3.5hrs on transport and 1.5hrs on lunch). The 2 cities were breathtaking though, definitely worth a visit but im sure there are better tours elsewhere.

trip is nice, guide is nice, will enjoy more if we have a smaller group of people.
  • Qiang 14 Oct 2017
The tour especially the tour guide was great. She was knowledgeable and explained very clearly. Both cities were ancient and worth the visit. There were much cheaper places to have lunch and you would get more free time for photos and sightseeing comparing to the lunch package option.

  • Ming Jen 11 Sep 2017

The trip is good but it's a bit too compact. Other parts are very good
