With towering stalks of green bamboo that seem to reach into the sky, you’ll feel immersed in an otherworldly atmosphere throughout this peaceful stroll. Depending on your chosen package, enjoy a buffet or set lunch before hopping on the Randen for a picturesque tram ride to Shijo-Omiya. From there you’ll be transported to the UNESCO site of Todai-ji and get up close to its star attraction, the Daibutsu Buddha, which as one of the largest bronze figures in the world, is a hugely impressive sight to behold. All the while your guide will provide you with in depth knowledge as you explore the beautiful grounds of this ancient imperial city. our tour is for Arashiyama and Nara only, but it was divided into two groups who wants to stay in Arashiyama for 3 hrs or only 2 hrs because they will visit kinkakuji temple which not in the itinerary.. not well organized. tour guide is nice but having a hard time speaking english, my family cant understand what shes saying , need to ask her several times, there were two tour guides in the bus, one who speaks chinese and the other english, japanese who takes turn giving information.

We joined the Arashiyama bamboo grove and Nara tour having Harry as our tour guide. We had plenty of time to explore the bamboo garden of Arashimaya. The bus was clean, with wifi and charging port. Had a great time in Nara. Overall,it was an amazing trip.

Great tour day for young and old coz not much walking is involved. Timing is a bit rushed so it’s not for those who want to take their time to explore the bamboo forest.
  • Teck Meng 11 Nov 2018
Good experience. tour leave on time and the tour guide gave detail explanation of each attraction.

We love Koyto & Nara the Chinese tour guide very good and friendly 😊

Overall was a good experience, other than finding the meeting point (we just arrived a day before in the city and barely knew anything about the city landmarks). The female chinese tour guide was better than the english tour guide. The food was just okay tho, the chicken sukiyaki was too sweet. Nara temple was great along with the deers.

temple is one of my favorites. tour was good. advisable for elderly and with kids.
  • Mae Ann 4 Nov 2018
The guides were very kind. One spoke in Chinese and the other spoke in Japanese and English. The bus was clean, had wifi and a charging port. The tour had a semi-do-it-yourself feel since they'll just lead the way to the meet-up point and then gave us free time to roam around. Very few talking points about the history/background about the sites. We also had to be very conscious of the time.
