Loved the museum! It was a good walk to the location since it’s located in Insadong. So we did a little shopping after visiting.

Great experience to learn more about the history of kimchi, ingredients of kimchi and many more.

Just look out for the signs in order to find the place 1. Walk along insadong until you see the sign (near 10-gil) 2. Walk towards the building, lift on the right 3. Take the lift to level 4, the museum reception is at the lift lobby

This was an interesting experience, but I would strongly recommend that you also include the kimchi making class. The museum was a bit difficult to locate.

Learnt about the history of kimchi and also got to try different types of kimchi in the tasting room. There’s even a free hanbok rental for 30 minutes, overall pretty fun and it’s a good place for children.

Museum is a little difficult to find and its located in 4th floor of a small mall in Insadong. Museum is small and tickets are slightly expensive. Will take up to 45mins to finish the whole museum. However, the museum is quite informative and you actually get to try kimchi after visiting the museum.
  • FATIMAH 10 May 2018
The place is quite difficult to find, it is inside a building at 4th floor. But you can experience wearing Hanbok while having a tour inside the kimchikan museum, have 3 different taste of kimchi for free.
  • HOW YONG 2 Apr 2018
You have to book the Kimchi making classes 3 days in advance. For visiting the museum it is a good experience.
