Explore Beijing’s scenic spots on a chartered one-day tour (Tiananmen, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, and Summer Palace - tickets not included)

First time not giving Klook 5 stars. The activity didn’t quite meet my definition of a tour. A tour would include some guidance and some explanations of the sites. If it was a “charter transport” to the sites then it would meet the expectations. The driver was nice and the car was excellent. We got a 7 seater and the 4 of us sat very comfortably. The driver offered water, he was experienced and recommended the route. Since tickets were not included Klook could have provided some warning to get tickets to Forbidden City early - it was sold out by the time we got to Beijing and so we ended up not going. Instead we went to Jing Shan out of our friends’ recommendations - to see the Forbidden City from the hill. We had to tell the driver where to go - so it wasn’t a tour in my definition. However, the driver was very accommodating- so I rated the transfer 5 stars.

I did not know that May 1-5 is a holiday in China…the attractions were so packed I couldn’t get through and took decent photos. I learned experience more than my anticipated Beijing/China history though 😢

A day before the tour, the driver contact us, and we arrange the pickup time for the next day. We can ask the driver to pick us anytime and the tour will last for 8 hours. After that additional cost per hour. First we asked the driver to take us to have breakfast. So he took us to jiajangmian noodle. Not a tourist attraction, so the price is reasonable and taste delicious. After that we went to see the Heaven Temple and another attraction. Overall it was a nice tour, and the driver was honest, he didn't take us to any tourist trap place. If he took us to eat, he just park the car somewhere, he didn't try to arrange anything with the shop / restaurant owner. Overall, it was a good experience.

Our driver went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. We had an issue with our simcard and he went out of his way to take us to the mall, translate for us and assisted us to have our problem resolved. The car was clean and smelling good too. We really enjoyed his company and enthusiasm ☺️ He was meant to be just our driver but he went extra by being our mini tour guide too. 😀

Mr. Wang is truly exceptional. He is a courteous and responsible driver who is willing to go the extra mile in serving his passengers. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to know him.

I spoke with the driver through a translation app, and he took me exactly where I wanted to go. Even when I changed my exit along the way, he still came to pick me up through the app.
