Lan Ha Bay & Cat Ba Island by Sunlight Premium Cruise

Our Lan Ha Bay overnight cruise was truly an unforgettable experience! Choosing this route over the more touristy Ha Long Bay was hands down the best decision we made. Lan Ha Bay’s views were absolutely breathtaking—serene, awe-inspiring, and nothing short of magical. Watching the sunrise and sunset over the bay felt like witnessing God’s masterpiece—it was that stunning. Tony, our tour guide, was fantastic. He was super friendly, shared great stories, and gave us fascinating insights about the bay. He even went the extra mile by taking photos and videos for us, which was such a thoughtful gesture. We also met some amazing fellow travelers who shared their own Vietnam adventures, adding even more warmth and fun to the trip. The journey to and from the port was smooth and comfortable, especially with the luxury van pick-up—it really added to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a peaceful yet magical alternative to Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay is the way to go. Highly recommended!

Best experience ever in Vietnam! Our tour guide, Tony, was incredibly kind. The food was absolutely delicious, and we made so many new friends from Europe. After dinner, we had a fun karaoke party, tried squid fishing, and even learned how to make spring rolls. The highlight of the trip was definitely kayaking—the area was peaceful and less crowded. The biking adventure the next day on Cat Ba Island was equally amazing. The scenery was breathtaking. 100000/5 stars!

Had an amazing time on this cruise. Didn’t go into it expecting much and with every activity things got better and better. The food was great, and the staff were super friendly and kind. Felt like such luxury after 3 weeks in hostels. Also was not super touristy which we appreciated :) Would recommend to anyone.

At first, I had doubts about this tour - the transfer bus was a bit dated and not fully comfortable. However, once we arrived, it all went smoothly - the transfer via a boat to the bigger boat, the tour, the guide, the location, the food, the activities. The weather was misty and rather cold but it was still a great experience (I skipped on swimming but kayaking was really good). Make sure to have warm clothes, and the rest will be taken care of. The location especially was enjoyable: less tourists, clear water. It was actually possible t enjoy the nature. Definitely a recommendation!

The room was cozy and comfy, the food was delicious and plenty. The staff was always kind and helpful. The locations and tour were just outstanding. Kayaking and cycling in quite areas surrounded by beautiful nature. A unique experience.

It is one of the best experiences in Hanoi! I’d say that it was the highlight of our trip. Our tour guide, Jack, treated us like a family. The other tourists were amazing too! We really had so much fun!

Tour guide Hai & the team is very good services in terms of the activities(kayaking, games, karaoke, bicycle at Viet Hai Village), food & beverages With an affordable price, we can enjoy the beautiful views of the nature with Sunlight Premium Cruise. We did 3D2N cruise. Our tour guide ‘Brian Handsome’ was excellent. He was very caring and attentive and taught us a lot about Vietnam along the way, alway making sure all of the guests were okay and having fun. The kayaking and jumping off the boat to swim was a highlight. Fun activities on board and the second day on CatBa cycling was also fun. Accommodation in Cat Ba was average but we enjoyed a morning if free time to wander the street and get a massage and visit the local market. Overall a fantastic trip and excellent value for money.
