Not mindblowing but great to pass some time and head to the local market. Everything was mostly done by the chef though, we just merely stirred or help prep some of the ingredients. Wish it was more hands on. They do provide you with a certification of completion thereafter ;)
Enjoy so much with my boyfriend ! The chef is patience and frenly !
My friends and I really enjoyed the cooking class with Chef Alit! He was so patient and accommodating and the food was SO GOOD.
Chef Alit was very knowledgeable (as he should be with 30+yrs of experience) I booked the market tour option with two other lovely Australian women. The market was a sight to see and it had three floors from food to clothes. The food was amazing, especially the dessert. I might not have all the ingredients that Chief Alit used in those recipes, but it was a joy to help make and definitely eat these meals. If you love cooking or want to try something new in Bali... I urge you to try this in the Montigo Resort Hotel. Worth every penny.
Very very Good experience. The food was delicious and the chef so sweet! It was cool to experience the market where all the locals go as well.
Everybody's traveling less because of the new corona virus! Thank you so much for not canceling the class.
Our cooking class with Chef Alit was great, we were the only 3 people in the class and we ended up going nearly 3 hours over time! Chef alit took us to the market and explained all of the fruits and vegetables and spices and also helped us barter for our own souvenirs and fruits to take home . After the market we went on to make 3 courses, a papaya and crab salad, Balinese 16 spice chicken and Pandan crepes. Not only did we enjoy these 3 courses but also chef had so many little condiments to make the plates look amazing, and also we were treated to delicious drinks with each course. After the cooking class chef alit took us for a tour around the hotel as we mentioned we had never heard of Montigo before. Alit took us through some of the rooms, the pools and the spa/gym. I couldn’t recommend this more. We will be back for sure. Thanks Alit :)
Chef Alit was a true artist! It was nice watching him prepare delicious dishes. Wish it was more hands on for us though.
excellent experience & wonderful hospitality from chef & his staff. Food was exceptional!
Chef Alit is phenomenal - the food was incredibly delicious! Highly recommend this activity as you also get to eat the 3 dishes prepared!
