Izu & Atami: Shuzenji Onsen Fall Foliage Viewing Day Tour (Depart from Tokyo or Shinjuku)

Unexpectedly, there were consecutive holidays in Japan, and the traffic jam was so bad that it was already past 1 p.m. when we arrived at the first scenic spot. The whole trip was greatly shortened, and the Niji no Sato that was originally planned was also subject to fireworks on the same day. The entrance fee has doubled, and a group of people can only walk in the parking lot outside. Worried that returning to Tokyo will exceed the driver's working hours, the last trip can only be canceled. Fortunately, everyone in the group can understand the hard work of the tour guide BC and the driver, so Before we returned to Tokyo, we actually let everyone see the face of Mount Fuji very clearly, and the disappointment of the day was wiped away. Although the return trip still took more than four hours to get back to Tokyo, we were still very happy to travel together.

I came here during the maple leaf season, and it’s really beautiful. There aren’t many tourists there, so it’s easier to take photos. The weather was sunny and every attraction was beautiful. I had the experience of adding pork chop rice and soaking in the soup. When I soaked in the soup, I was the only one and reserved the room directly.

Today's weather is not so good, but the journey is satisfying. I particularly enjoyed the hot spring; it's so relaxing, especially in the rainy and cool weather. Our tour guide, BC, has done a great job. Thanks again for her hard work throughout the whole day.

The tour guide Luis is friendly and helpful. He is proficient in Chinese, English and Japanese and helped us to buy the group ticket in 虹之鄉 which saved us a few hundred yen. The red leaves were very beautiful!

it was so traffic that day and we got to our first stop almost 2 hours late. so there was a bit of rushing to see things. Other than ln that, it was a nice tour!

The scenery is beautiful, but there was a communication problem between the tour guide and the driver. As a result, the time that was already delayed due to traffic congestion was reduced, but the tour guide had to wait for a reply from the company before continuing the rest of the itinerary, leaving all the group members unable to do so. After leaving the group, I stayed in place and waited for 20+ minutes. In the end, I missed some attractions due to insufficient time in the itinerary. One of the stops does not include the entrance fee. If you do not enter, there are no other attractions outside the gate. You will not be notified at the beginning of the trip that there will be additional charges. Due to the fireworks environment that night, admission after 3 pm will be charged by 12xx yen became 2800 yen. Again, no prior notice was given and the order of the itinerary was changed. The whole trip wasted a lot of time and money, but in fact it could have been avoided in advance.

I highly recommend it if you catch the maple leaf season. Atami Plum Garden, Shuzenji Temple, and Shuzenji Natural Park are all very good. Niji no Sato can only be visited after 50 minutes of waiting and an entrance fee of more than 1,000 yen. If the weather is good, you can go to the parking lot to take pictures of Mount Fuji. (The tour guide didn’t specifically remind you, you have to look where people are taking pictures). The whole trip was considered a rush, but the maple leaves were so beautiful that it was worth it.
