Such an incredible trip! The Scottish Highlands were absolutely beautiful — Glencoe’s scenery was breathtaking and Loch Ness was peaceful and mysterious. The guide was friendly and shared lots of interesting stories. A perfect way to experience Scotland’s natural beauty! 🏞️🐉
Today we have tour guide Paul such a funny and knowledgeable gentleman, he share a lot historical stories and lovely songs during the trip. Overall sighting points manage very well but if people don’t pay optional cruise tour then it will be so boring at that location.
A delightful tour, long but not tiring or boring. All locations were managed according to plan, and we even had an extra visit at the end to see the Hairy Coos again, as we were too busy shopping to take photos at the beginning of the tour. The price was quite competitive, and the tour team was professional. A good experience.
Due to the shorter daylight hours in winter and the fact that it was a holiday, there were no Loch Ness cruises available. However, the tour guide was knowledgeable and provided information about many sights and stories along the way, so the overall experience was good.
The tour was amazing. HEX Tours (and the awesome guide Steven B.) is brilliant to squeeze in the very best of Scotland in a 12-hour period. Definitely be back with friends because of this and will obviously pick HEX Tours!
It was a great experience. Our tour guide Roy was very nice. Im happy that I booked this tour. There’s a lot of beautiful places outside Edinburgh. Highly recommended trip.
The tour guide and driver were both excellent, 10 out of 10! However, the tour was almost entirely commentary from the bus, and some parts of the itinerary were skipped because of a car accident on the road, with the guide saying they were afraid of getting stuck in traffic for too long and had to turn back. I also saw that other travelers had shared experiences of getting up close to Highland cattle, but that didn't happen at all 🤣, we only drove past and were told, "Those are Highland cattle." I think the itinerary arrangement needs improvement. The lunch and dinner times were very short, and we were rushed and had to take the food to go and eat it on the bus. But the tour guide was great and very good at recommending food, and the recommendations were all delicious.
The Highlands are truly an amazing place, with beautiful scenery everywhere. The tour guide provided very detailed and excellent explanations. The itinerary allowed us to see all the main attractions of the Highlands in one day, which is very helpful for those who are short on time but still want to visit the Highlands.
Enjoying beautiful scenery all day long.
I booked this tour really due to the lack of other ways to travel to Loch Ness. It was organized and pickup was smooth. It was just a very long day with not much reward. I am glad to see Loch Ness (and the castle was great) while here in Scotland. However, I wouldn’t do it again.
