What to expect
Discover traditional Hmong batik in Ta Van Village, Sapa, with a local Hmong artisan. Learn about the cultural stories behind Hmong textiles and create your own design using natural beeswax, indigo dye and a traditional chan tool.
Enjoy hands-on guidance throughout the process, learn how wax protects patterns during dyeing, and reveal your unique design. Borrow traditional Hmong clothing for photos, enjoy a cup of tea or a soft drink, and take home your handmade batik artwork and a small brocade souvenir.
The workshop lasts approximately 2.5–3 hours, with sessions at 9:00 AM or 2:00 PM. Pickup and drop-off are included within Ta Van Village. Guests staying in central Sapa must arrange their own transportation.
