Guide

  • Yaoli Scenic Area is located in Fuliang County, Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province. Formerly known as "Yaoli" (窑里), it was named as such because it was the birthplace of Jingdezhen ceramics, and is renowned as the "source of porcelain, home of tea, and sea of forests." It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and a famous historical and cultural town in China, preserving a large number of ancient Ming and Qing Huizhou-style buildings. The winding and clear Yaoli River flows through the town. Without the hustle and bustle of excessive commercialization, visitors can stroll among the scattered white walls and black tiles, experiencing the tranquility and local charm unique to a Jiangnan water town, as if time has slowed down here.
  • The scenic area integrates cultural landscapes and natural scenery. In addition to visiting historical sites such as the Ming and Qing Commercial Street, the Cheng Family Ancestral Temple, and Chen Yi's Former Residence in the ancient town to explore the glorious legacy of the millennium-old porcelain industry, visitors can also go to Wanghu Ecological Scenic Area to admire the magnificent Nanshan Waterfall and the lush, deep primeval forest. Here, mountains and rivers blend, and the ecology is superb. Whether it's taking beautiful photos on the bluestone paths or capturing the light and shadow of the Dragon Scale Dam on a sunny day, you can get retro blockbusters with great texture.
  • As a unique niche treasure destination around Jingdezhen, Yaoli is a secluded paradise that can cleanse the soul. It is recommended that visitors stroll in the ancient town in the early morning or evening, when the light is softest and most conducive to taking beautiful photos. Here, you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and deeply appreciate the timeless charm of nature and history intertwined among the mountains, waters, bricks, and tiles. It is definitely a must-visit deep-tour destination for a trip to Jingdezhen.
