VASARA Kimono and Yukata Rental in Kurashiki

This is a kimono rental chain with locations in various regions of Japan. Their professional staff are friendly and helpful. We paid an additional fee of approximately 60,000 KRW. It would be helpful to have detailed information about the various options available on Klook. We used a rental car to visit Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden. Since the return time for the clothing is 5:30 PM, an itinerary that includes Kurashiki, Okayama Castle, and Korakuen seems reasonable.

The experience of renting a kimono at VASARA in Kurashiki was great! The styles are diverse and the texture is exquisite. The staff are friendly and professional, and the service of helping to put on the clothes is attentive. Wearing a kimono and strolling around the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, taking photos is a great experience, I definitely recommend it!

First of all, the location here is not clearly marked, the location given is wrong, and it took a lot of time to find the way. Second, there are many additional cost items, and I think they should be clearly stated in the package. Third, the technique of wearing a kimono is not very good. The holes under the armpits of the kimono are facing forward, which is not very beautiful, so you have to pay attention to moving your sleeves back. Fourth, there are not enough staff, and even if you make an appointment, you still need to wait for about 30 minutes. Fifth, there are relatively few styles of kimonos to choose from, especially the trendy lace styles, which are really rare to choose from. Sixth, the most expensive hairstyle added to the shopping cart is totally unsatisfactory and does not match the picture. I have tried similar hairstyles in other places before, and this hairstyle is totally not worth adding to the shopping cart. If you want to wear a kimono, I suggest you go to Kyoto. The CP value this time is very low.

the quick simple plan is extremely limited to one rack. every item you want to add on is additional 550 yen. changing room has no divider between other female. store is on 2nd floor so need to climb up. overall was seamless. not sure why the staff didnt speak in English to me even though i could understand a bit of japanese.

We were there on 5 April for our 5-yo daughter. The services were amazing, couldn’t have asked for more! The location is a big plus as it’s just an easy walk of 2 minutes from the riverside.

The store is located in a clean and pretty place. All the staff members were friendly. I wore a yukata, but I wanted to add more than just one obi to make it look more voluminous and pretty, so I got greedy and added more on the spot. So, please think about adding a deposit + 2000 yen. I chose hair set number 2, and it was beautiful and satisfying.

The staff was very attentive. Although there weren't a huge variety of kimono styles, there were many different patterns available, so I was still able to find one I liked. The kimonos were all in excellent condition and looked very new. The hair and makeup service was also very quick. Overall, the service was professional and thoughtful, making for a wonderful experience! Even when I was leaving, after changing back into my own clothes, my hair was a bit messy in the back (I couldn't see it myself), and a staff member proactively and carefully helped me fix it, which made the experience even better!

Amazing experience! The employees were very skilled and patient with recommandations. So many layers yo a kimono! Strolling through Kurashiki in a kimono was also such an incredible experience itself. Thank you very much for this day☺️

The staff members are helpful and professional. There are quite a lot of choices depending on which grade you have chosen. We chose the basic but were attracted by the patterns of the next grade and thus paid extra money for that. The venue is on the second floor of a convenience store and thus not easy to find. The facilities are fine but it would be better to have lockers instead of a big bag to put your things in after getting changed to the kimonos.

The service staff are very attentive and considerate, and you won't feel like you're being forced to sell overpriced merchandise. Basically there are simple hair ties and hair accessories. The ones I purchased are all basic styles without any extra charges. You can take a look at them for reference!
