Nantou: Private Day Tour to Sun Moon Lake from Taipei

We only had one day to see Sun Moon Lake- we booked this tour through Klook and Me. Wang showed up at our house and whisked us away for an amazing day! he grew up in the area so in addition to driving us to all the sites, hiking with us, explaining the local tribe and history around Sun Moon Lake- he also shared his own stories of life in the area. he was great at explaining the history and traditions at the temples and encouraged us to try the local foods. He is friendly and patient and has lots of energy. in addition- he is an excellent photographer. I have so many cute pictures from all over the lake. I’m so happy with our trip- I can’t believe how much we saw in just one day!

Ben went above and beyond. He arrived on time as indicated and actually told us to go earlier than what the itinerary provides to ensure we got the most out of our day. Complimentary snacks and drinks were provided, including local brewed egg. He also gave local recommendations for lunch and dessert. Ben also helped us take posed and candid photos throughout the day and ensured we maximised our time at each stop. He was also very patient with my parents and provided great commentary.

The long drive to/fro Sun Moon Lake SML was smooth and safe - wonderful driving skills of Aaron. He took care of us at every stop , making sure the seniors and I were comfortable and had an enjoyable time. Aaron was a gracious, caring and knowledgeable host as we spent an unforgettable day at SML

The tour guide and driver were very professional, and the vehicle was new and excellent! We didn't feel tired at all during the trip, it was very relaxing😌 and enjoyable!

He made our trip more memorable and enjoyable because of his familiarity with the places - the great spots for photos, convenient shops to get snacks from, and anecdotes about Taiwan and Taipei. His vehicle was top notch and offered everything from chilled beverages, on-board entertainment, and added safety (it was bullet proof)! Vincent can also switch hats and be your personal and professional photographer and will know the best spots *(and angles)! :) Book the tour, try to request for Vincent Hsu - he will make you feel like a VIP from start to finish!

The driver and tour guide were very enthusiastic and professional. I was very happy to meet such a good tour guide. He introduced the attractions in detail and accompanied us throughout the trip.

Trip was amazing! Mr Wang our guide made sure we are comfortable and helped us understand the history of the temples. he was very friendly and catered to other needs.

We enjoyed our private day tour with our guide Steven. We got to make many stops on this tour and the guide was also flexible. Steven was very informative as well.

Good tour, drove around the lake and saw temples and did the gondola. Had a nice market lunch. Long drive to and from Taipei but van was very comfy.
